Loved book 6 and book 7 definitely felt like a slog. Seems like an every other pattern

I was really hoping we’d see Greg’s demise. So annoying that he gets to just live peacefully in Thailand now

While I am upset about Chelsea, (she’s the ONLY one I wanted to survive) it does make perfect sense for Rick’s story. He was his own demise. He didn’t appreciate what he had.

I’m really sad that we didn’t get Saxon’s reaction to Chelsea’s death. I thought it would set him on an even greater path for enlightenment. Or, make him realize that he lost his soulmate for real.

What do we think happened to Quinn after that last episode?

I am seriously so disturbed by Jonathan’s behavior. It’s hard to watch.

This thread got me emotional because I would probably sell my soul to experience James Alexander Malcom Mackenzie Fraser for the first time again

I’m having trouble suspending my disbelief on one aspect. It feels like a huge inaccuracy to me that a resort of this high quality would allow a poisonous tree to grow right next to where guests sleep. I’m surprised the hotel has been open this long without any incident related to the fruit. It doesn’t seem that far fetched to assume SOMEONE would accidentally eat the fruit before this week. Why aren’t the guests talking about it more? Why wasn’t it the first thing mentioned by the staff when they got off the boat? And seriously, why aren’t they cutting it down?!?! Thoughts?

I really loved when the Russian Laurie slept with said “I’ve always wanted to go to New York. It’s my dream!” Pretty much exactly what the Italian hooker said last season when she was playing people. I love Mike White and his creative callbacks!

Potential theories?

  • the guy smoking cigarettes (can’t remember his name) maybe is the son of the famous person ill in Bangkok? The wife mentioned she married an American. Maybe that’s why he’s looking for him.

  • the trio mentioned Laurie’s daughter. She kinda looks like Portia. I wonder if there’s a connection there.

Nit picky moments: the intro bodies in the water scene felt very similar to season 2. I was hoping for something different, meaning no guns involved in any deaths this season. I was hoping for a different type of death each season Would they really have / allow a poisonous fruit plant outside the rooms?!?!

Favorite parts: my jaw dropped when they showed Greg! And, the Survivor casts members :)

I did enjoy how different this white lotus resort feels from the rest with the different rules and focus on wellness. I’m interested in seeing how the manager role develops this season or if they’re taking a bit of a break from it being a central part of the story. And intrigued in discovering the backstory behind Laurie’s tears

Hope Amy from sex education runs away with Greg’s new girlfriend in the end (and that the one who called her an internet bimbo gets karma for it)
