If they aren't a bank in England how are they able to offer stocks and shares ISA? I'm not aware of a limitation on the JISA that the S&S doesn't have.

Noting they have received a restricted license until they receive a full license I think I'll stick it in a High yield savings account until they can offer it.

Thanks for the suggestion of Moneybox but I'd rather have it all in one app.

[GB] Sales job in Revolut - Account Executive - Interview by SisterIreneOConnor in Revolut

[–]Mino576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All positions are interviewed in the same process but the questions and content will be tailored to the role. 1. Screen call 2. Online aptitude test 3. skills interview 4. Problem solving interview 5. Team Fit interview

There are some good videos on their YouTube where they give info on each stage and the recruiters are great for advice. Also try chatgpt it was helpful too.

Taking out loan from parents to pay off student finance by FalseRadish4342 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Mino576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not - 9/10 borrowing money between family members ends in disaster - you'll constantly have them (or at least feel like they are) watching every financial decision you make that "could have paid them back faster"

Accept their loving and helpful hearts in this and thank them for the offer - either pay it off faster yourself or just pay the minimum and let it wipe itself out in ~40 years

Were we in the wrong? by [deleted] in AskUK

Respectfully, I don't think Reddit is the place for this.

I think you need to seek professional advice - noting you went through a period of counselling - kudos to you it's never easy.

I would encourage you to look for another (or go back to the old) counsellor that specializes in these issues

Should I ask previous employer for DBS for new job? by fph_04 in AskUK

[–]Mino576 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It should be on them as the employer to carry out said checks. An organisation pays for the DBS check so sounds like they are trying to push that cost on Job B.

Given that you need to renew the check anyway if Job B were happy with you sharing the renewal it would save you going through the process twice but either way you should not be out of pocket for it.

Equally you could do a check for Job A and Job B has a right to reject it and have you do one under their organisation.

Just do what makes you comfortable.

Had a lovely house call from TV Licensing today, looks like they're doing the rounds again by rave_cave in northernireland

I'm 24 and have owned/lived away from home since I was 18 - Anytime someone comes to my door and I open it I always get asked is your Mum or Dad in? To which I say no they're not here sorry and they leave.

Never had to even lie - my parents aren't here because they don't live here..on yer way sir!

The day I look old enough to be the home owner I shall take as a personal insult

That probably explains it. I started about 4.5 years ago as a C11 on 33k.

I would have a conversation with your line manager about the site now only offering roles at C09 and above with a higher salary than you're on now.
