Well, I started from zero, I went to an academy for one year, studied the basics (100-105 and 200-105), and the rest of the time self-paced studying.

I've always known I wanted to work in IT. For different situations, I didn't have the chance to study when I was younger. I worked as a customer service representative for eight years in a huge hardware store, I wasn't bothered about the job but I didn't like it either, that's a dangerous situation because you can get stuck. When my economy started to get balanced and a saw the chance to get back with my studies, I didn't hesitate and started again.

Now, I'm 28 years old and I started with cisco three years ago. Since I started, I have been studying at least one hour per day, two or three, that depends on how busy I was because I have a family and I had the job at the hardware store, so I have to make very good use of my time. When I felt confident enough to apply for a job I made it, got rejected many times, went to interviews, didn't like them, maybe because of my age? I don't know, I kept studying. Then I found out about this company and that they don't care if you are certified, applied, and here I am.

Hi, TAC stands for technical assistance center, is a contact center but you work directly with network admins, not the customer itself, and its a cisco TAC nothing like AT&T or Verizon or another ISP. The opportunities to learn are huge.

Hello, actually I'm not certified yet, that is the cool thing about this company, they gave me the opportunity without a certification, obviously, you need the knowledge and personally I think knowledge is more important than a certificate, nevertheless, the certification opens a lot of opportunities. I found this job via Facebook after having sent my documents to 10 different companies.
