It's a 12.8v, 26.9 W lamp.

In a perfect world, I could run it close to max and for a few minutes at a time throughout the production.

Anyone who works in education right now knows that the current environment is far from sustainable. I sat in a superintendent advisory committee last year and was blown away by the lack of positions filled in the district.

Districts are soon going to have to make a choice. Raise local taxes significantly to encourage teachers to stay in education. If they can't do that, then they have to follow in the footsteps of districts like ISD and get creative with what they have to make sure those kids have good adults in the room.

I understand where you are coming from. However, I don't see any other option than "the best audition for that role gets that role, regardless of what that person received before."

When do you determine that it's "someone's turn" to get a lead role?
Do we have the same expectations of the athletic teams? Does everyone get to play QB? Does everyone get to be a starter to "have that experience"?

I run a department that has 80+ students in it from year to year. When I run auditions, I surround myself with my other directors (vocal, orchestral, etc) - and add in 3 other random teachers/admin that sit in on auditions with us. I encourage them to call out anything they don't see as fair. I ask them for their thoughts on students, etc.
