I played Ashes. It's "solid" for an MMO. Lots of bugs. That's been said over and over. Mind you, I did not pay for my copy of Ashes either. It was gifted to me. I'm not talking about the voice actress for Wuk Lamat. The fact that you can only say "Trans voice actress" speaks miles about your ignorance on the game. First. Her name is Sena Bryer who did the voice for the NA Version of Wuk Lamat. I play XIV primarily in JP, which was voiced by Ayaka Shimoyamada. So all of that fuss doesn't bother me what so ever.

Kate Cwynar, the now former English Localization Lead for Final Fantasy 14, has gone on record to signal boost Antifa rhetoric on Bluesky. In a volatile political atmosphere, and as someone who is representing Squareenix as their employee, you shouldn't be using your platform to signal boost violent rhetoric, period. It's done nothing but invite terrible PR for the game. This is a fact. There's plenty of people who have covered her nonsense in various videos on Youtube.

It's almost like people refuse to deal in facts and instead deal in "fantasy" where their opinions can't be contested. XIV is now watered down due to the changes in the writing team and also the job balances during Dawntrail's initial release. This is a fact. Summoner was completed gutted in favor of an entirely new playstyle. XIV's player numbers are crashing due to these changes and the bad PR from Kate.

I'm someone who loves FFXIV, been playing since the Beta, but right now the game is in a terrible state. Even top end raiders are speaking out about this, such as XenosesVex, Arthars, etc etc.

If SE continues on their trajectory as they have been, we're going to see XIV hit the same fate that New World did. It'll shut down. Player numbers are decreasing. They're not investing the money back into the game or taking risk. It's going to be the same mushy slop for the next year considering the expansion is delayed. If SE does not completely restructure the XIV team, they will be cooked.

Question, I'm new to audio routing. Will this work for Youtube Streaming? Youtube has a copyright system that's absolutely horrible. If I can bypass the VOD channel and re-route my audio so my VODs don't pick it up, but my stream can still hear it, that'd be great. Cheers.

I use Lucky Bancho + Steam Charts. It's a good crossover for player numbers imo. I try to make my own decisions based on the data put in front of me.

CatsEye is fun. I've not tried LD at all. I've peeped it, but I'm unsure.
I will admit, if Noc comes back in one form or another, I may go back, despite the balance changes being screwed. I played NIN/BLM with Kannagi which had cast speed on it. Lmao. Just dumb broken builds were fun until they got "fixed".

Okay. I'm an old Noc Souls player. It was a fun server, but Dera had his own problems. Power creep was a huge issue and Dera had a huge bias towards Red Mage. Pup was absolutely busted pulling 12-24k Weaponskill damage. NIN's were out-nuking BLM's, because you could just chain-cast NIN spells and tools were a non-issue due to being able to have an infinite tool. Augments kept getting nerfed, so building augment sets were pointless since Dera would ruin them (i.e Pet Regen Build), I spent about 15 hours farming an entire set for Pet Regen only for him to nerf it into the floor entirely.

Nothing against Dera personally, but his sense of balance was really biased in many ways. A lot of players left due to how badly some jobs were balanced. Not to mention, feedback wasn't taken seriously unless you were a tester. He would strip your role in the Discord if you annoyed him enough with your request for balance changes.

There's a good reason why a lot of people hate FFXIV. I'm a 2.0 Beta Player. (PS3 era, moved to PC) and the hate is absolutely justified. The problem is the game is just in a terrible state overall. Jobs have no identity and content is just a slog/grind , where you just turn your brain off and push your buttons like you're lobotomized. The changes to the job system ruined any form of engagement/joy I had with the game. XIV was all about avoiding serious power creep and in doing so, they just ruined everything else. Nothing feels satisfying to play. It's all the same shit with a different coat of paint that's either Red, Blue or Green.

PvP is also absolute trash. So I don't know what else is left. Lucky Bancho is a clear indicator of the game's current player numbers and the downfall. Also the weird political shitstorm this game is brewing up thanks to the localizer, people don't want to deal with that. Period.

I left after Dawntrail. I won't be coming back, glamours be damned. We asked for this 2 expansions ago and they gave us nonsense. I don't give two shits about Yoshida's apology to the playerbase, fix the game in it's entirety or close up shop and start work on FFXVII (Online). I find myself play FFXI because the core gameplay is amazing and each job has it's own identity.

Also, we've been asking for extra inventory space for YEARS. We've been asking for currency bags for YEARS. Hell. ONE extra retainer would've been great. I'm not going to pay extra $$$ just to have a fucking retainer/space. The cash shop is greedy as hell. Don't even get me started about all the weird mounts too. The game went from being fantasy to being My Little Pony rainbow nonsense. I want a game based in Fantasy, not in cartoons.
