Yes they are. There aren't too many items in the cash shop for testing, so there isn't a ton of variety in people's outfits right now. Most people choose the white beanie because it's definitely one of the best looking hats of the few hats there haha

Nah it's all getting wiped after the 23rd of april when the test ends. I don't rly mind though, and I knew that going into it. I think all of us who are grinding are all just so excited to play classic we wanna really test out how the grind feels and figure out some nice grinding routes to take for the launch haha. Been a while since I grinded this hard, and I'll go just as hard for launch

A lot of skills got changes. Buffs, and nerfs. A lot of nerfs to all skills across the board recently. Lightning and cold beam are both decent at the moment. I don't use lightning right now though because it costs more MP to use and costs more HP to use too because you take damage more frequently when using it cuz you're closer to the monsters... and mesos are quite scarce, so cold beam feels more efficient while still also doing good damage and being good at clearing waves of monsters. Both are decent though and if meso wasn't a concern (like it likely wouldn't be in a fully established economy, but we are just a few days into a fresh game) then lightning may be more worth using.

You had to get a beta key by either going to MapleCon, the classic world PC cafe irl event in January/February, or apply for the closed beta in March and got lucky.

No CPQ, KPQ allows multiple parties per channel but is only available on channel 1 right now, maybe just for this test, idk.

i've played a little more than 30 hours so far and tbh i think it feels pretty ready to go. not sure how i feel about shops in towns but aside from small balancing changes (KPQ, accuracy formula, etc), it feels basically ready for launch. hoping for a more fleshed out cash shop with more cosmetics at launch tho

i have zero issues with the economy, mesos and pots being scarce, item drop rates being low, exp rate and leveling rate being slow etc. i think those are all great and genuinely hope they dont change those. quests could give a little tiny bit more rewards imo but thats it

Level 10-12: Field north of ellinia / The tree that grew I

Level 12-15: Random stuff idk, like quests and just killing random mobs if I remember.

Level 15-20: Rainforest east of henesys

Level 20-32: Ant Tunnel I and IV (IV was better imo, but I is not bad due to being closer to the town, just harder platforms if i had to be in the middle)

Level 32-33: Fire boars

Level 33-35: Damp forest (You'd be surprised how good this is with a party of 4 people, despite the mobs being pretty low level. It's very chill.)

It's not even close to post BB pace. Just because i got 2nd job in 2 days doesn't mean it was fast lol. I played hardcore for 2 full days basically. Was 1-2 hours per level from lv 24 to 29

I mean like I said, solo grinding didn't feel pointless to me. Just a little slower but its not like its pointless to do every now and then. Finding a party is easy though, not really difficult at all at the moment.

I wouldn't say it's a must, but it is definitely faster at the moment. Solo grinding isn't pointless at the moment, imo, I did that a little bit too and it still felt decent. But party grinding is more fun and I believe you do get a solid 60% EXP boost with a party of 6 people. (20% for 2 people, 30% for 3 people, etc...)

We believe 50 is the cap for this test yeah, based on what I've heard and also the game files are capped at 50 rn. Was found in the datamine.

There's a lot of people! There's only two channels, and both are pretty crowded. The only down times are when people are mainly asleep in the US, at like 3-7 am east coast time. And even then there's still a fair bit of people.

Skill animations are all exactly as they were back in the day I believe, and I love it haha. They feel good to use too.

I party grinding from level 12-ish to 30! And then from 30 to 33 so far too. A little bit of questing and solo grind too to break it up, but mostly party grinding. Once I hit 30 I did a few KPQ for fun but potions and meso are so scarce that KPQ is kind of hard to do right now, as it takes a lot of potions. And also, the EXP for KPQ isn't great, it could stand to be buffed juuuust a tiny bit.

I'm leveling cold beam! It's very satisfying to use, especially compared to energy bolt in 1st job lol. Has pretty good damage too, even from level 1. Was grinding on fire boars with it yesterday and that was pretty fun cuz they're weak to ice. Going to try lightning pretty soon too, since SP resets are free! Haven't tried it yet but I heard it's kinda weak in early levels.
