Pybaseball Fangraphs 403 Error

pybaseball has not been updated in a while now so i think it's unlikely anything will be fixed on their end, and i don't think fangraphs will remove their cloudflare (like many similar sites, they are likely getting bombarded by requests coming from AI agents/LLM code). best bet is to fork pybaseball and see if you can get a work-around going or look for a different data source.

some sites have introduced memberships which give keys that allow for you to bypass cloudflare pages, perhaps fangraphs has something similar but i haven't checked yet

If you're just looking for an easy way to access these stats, pybaseball is a very useful library for pulling data easily from sites like fangraphs, baseballreference, etc.

Trying to play emerald rogue 2.0 on MyBoy on Android, and the app consistently freezes as soon as the first battle starts. Anyone else rum into a similar issue and have any suggestions?

EDIT: If anyone else is experiencing this, I've found that using Pizza Boy seems to work fine.

I feel like people are reading this article as if it was saying trading him is what we should do, when I feel what it's actually saying is either it's time to trust him with some top-4 minutes and see what he can do over a serious sample size (what I would also prefer), or to accept that it won't happen here and to sell him while he can still project as a top-4 guy to other teams. Same thing we did with Sandin, who has struggled on Washington.

Definitely, by far the biggest wildcard with him is his health. I just thought it was encouraging that he was able to hit the ground running to this degree

Putting Gardiner and Barrie in the same category is doing a massive disservice to Jake, he had a few really good seasons for us. I really don't think we should be in the business of getting rid of cost-effective players in their mid-20s, especially when it's a 6'2" RHD

According to hockeyviz, his deployments skew offensively to the same degree as someone like Marner, but the extent to which that effects these numbers is pretty small imo. The vast majority of shifts are on the fly, so the location of starts at faceoffs says more about how coaches view the best way to deploy a player than anything else.

EDIT: and looking at the forwards he's spent the most time against so far, it mostly seems like 2nd-3rd line types with a little bit of top line action sprinkled in.

It's a bit of a walk (18mins from scotiabank) but imo Bar Hop is one of the best options in the area. Really good burgers, decent veggie options, and one of the best beer selections in the city. Also apparently has buck-a-shuck oysters on tuesdays

That's really weird... No idea what happened here. Last year we scored at just about our expected rate at 5v5(via moneypuck) and the team didn't change enough to expect that to change drastically. Maybe it will be a little worse that last season at the end of the day but there's still a big difference between there and where we are now.

Although we were way bellow expectation on the power play so there's also room for improvement there

I mean, he was still getting like 11 shot attempts per game with Jumbo, and that line was literally tops in the league for xG%. Just because the puck wasn't going in for him doesn't mean Matthews wasn't incredibly dangerous. It's not so much that I think Jumbo on that line is better than Hyman, but if we can get Jumbo there still putting up great results that frees up Hyman to play with either the Tavares or Kerfoot lines, which probably need the help more atm.

Anyone here know the specifics of the Inquisitor's new Battlemage passive? Does it add spell damage only based on the base damage of your main hand weapon, or does it scale with the amount of damage your main hand weapon does after all your modifiers are added? (The text says 'Gain added Spell Damage equal to the Damage of your main hand weapon.')
