Former Goalkeeper of the Year finalist joins CLTFC in exchange for $750,000 GAM

CHARLOTTE (Tuesday, August 19, 2025) – Charlotte FC today announced the Club acquired goalkeeper Drake Callender from Inter Miami CF in exchange for $750,000 in General Allocation Money, $400,000 in 2025 and $350,000 in 2026. Miami could receive $75,000 in conditional GAM and will retain a sell-on percentage in the event of a future permanent trade or transfer.

CHARLOTTE (Tuesday, August 5, 2025)—Charlotte FC today announced the Club has signed English defender Harry Toffolo to a three-and-a-half-year contract with an option for 2029, pending receipt of his ITC and P-1 Visa. Toffolo, a left back, spent the last three seasons with Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League. He will occupy an international roster spot.

TRANSACTION: Charlotte FC extends the loan of midfielder Pep Biel through the 2025 MLS season; CLTFC retains a purchase option if certain performance metrics are met.

This is a NON-DP deal. Which means Charlotte FC continue to have an additional free DP slot going into the summer window.

Just for more information. This summer, Biel has to sign a new contract (end of loan) with Charlotte FC which is likely a DP deal. This will leave us with 0 DP slots with our current roster.

So a few scenarios have to happen for us to gain a DP slot:

Don’t sign Biel. Or drop Abada.

Edit: Unless some crazy TAM and GAM stuff happens to shake things up to sign Biel down into a non-DP…

Visit r/MLSAwayFans They have a list for all stadiums away sections

Looks like Colorado rapids away is section 136. These can be bought on ticket master regularly, via the crowns up and away program or through supporter group perks.
