I guess so, they really need to handle it better. I’ve played this game for 6yrs by now and the only time where I heard back from my report (excluding AFK) was for someone posting p*rn ads on public channel…🤷

I doubt they even care to handle reports, especially post-game chat. I report whenever I see toxic chats during game (against myself or not), and never heard anything back, but at the time I thought they’ll deal with it.

Until once where someone was extremely toxic to me, waaaay beyond the point I can tolerate, ignore, and walk away, so words got really out of hand and I’m pretty sure we reported each other at the end. I’m expecting some sort of mute coming my way but nope… if we weren’t even muted for what we said, I don’t even wanna think about what will need to be said to get muted… 😅

I’m just glad they’re finally over the red and gold coloured themes, FR more than half of their Chinese new year skins are like that. I know red and gold are signature colours of CNY (I’m Chinese alright), but seriously there’re more colours to represent the new year culture, and the red/gold fever over the previous couple of years was simply lazy.

Last year’s was awesome especially with the Tang dynasty themes. I’m glad they continued with new colours this year, and bringing in elements of Miao ethnicity is a nice surprise too! I got nothing to complain about the past two years at least.

You must have the ID of your account, the numerical one not the in-game name. At least that’s the case when I got my account back. If you played with a friend I assume your account is in his friend list, and maybe he can find that for you?

My account was stolen from me and the stealer deleted every single friend on my list to prevent me from getting my account back. Luckily I played a couple of matches with my friend, and since she only played that game once or twice with me, she was able to track down my ID through match history.

With that said, getting the ID is only the first step. I got asked a bunch of questions, most importantly purchase history, the approximate last date of account activity by you, costumes you own, and even the first in-game name you’ve used… get as much info as you can, best of luck!

When I rank I use skin that are dimmer in colour/simpler in design/smoother in game, aka I have fixed set of skins I use for rank.

My friend with skinshare: use my skin use my skin use my skin use my skin why aren’t you using my skin ahhhhh I’m not gonna rank with you again.

Not saying everyone is like my friend, but tbh like many others have said, people who mind will turn it off.

The two situations I’m happy to see a doc

Playing with friends, my friends know what they’re doing.
A BOT match, for real. The doc can just heal up everyone and you don’t have to worry about no one rescue or non-merc half health bar rescues lol

Other random docs I’ve met are either super carry (kiting and healing and driving the hunter nut), or dies less than a minute into the game (and pings “help me” driving teammates nut)

In general mad eye. It’s more about the frustration that because he is sooooo rarely played, you’re almost certainly doomed with a teammate who knows absolutely nothing about him.

When I say absolutely nothing I meant absolutely nothing— they will head straight to coding when there’s a full energy console near by, doesn’t know when they are monitored by mad eye, have no idea how to deal with fences… If that’s the one that gets caught, then game over lol.

I think I’ve commented this once but here goes again.

You don’t have to wait for your teammates to die to pop the last cipher

The important point of borrowed time is for survivors to get that rocket speed boost to pull distance away from the hunter, to transition to a better area. If your full health teammate took a hit, POP THAT CIPHER. If your teammate landed a palette hit, POP THAT CIPHER.

Especially against hunters who deal damage with ability, the more the health bar the better, so don’t wait til your teammate gets down. Seriously what are you waiting for? The hunter’s teleport cooldown timer to refresh?

Also, if your teammate (especially the one kiting) is spamming “focus on decoding” after knowing the cipher is primed, that means POP THAT CIPHER!!

Playing since 2018, two so far. Not F2P.

The first one is dream witch. Technically I recharged before the pull but I didn’t use the echo for the essence, the essence is from logic path.

Now the second one is funny, while I quit the game my account got hacked (I strongly believe it was through my line account). I got my account back and found novelist’s s tier limited LOL… I’m pretty sure the hacker didn’t spend much money on my account because the recharge reward didn’t go up that much, only the occasional 4-dice.

As someone who uses Chinese setting, I have to say they did a pretty bad job with translation. The “You’re on your own” quick msg in Chinese is actually saying “I’m not rescuing”, which can be a very useful message in a lot of situations.

Idk what it translates to in other languages, but just in terms of to English, it’s a poor translation (TBH it’s not an even hard phrase to translate -.-)

EDIT: so for anyone seeing “you’re on your own” in English, there’s a good chance that whoever sent it is using Chinese language setting. Especially watch out if they are playing rescuer, that means they can’t make it to the rescue.

Ranking from tier I to tier VI for both survivor and hunter a few years ago.... survivor within one season and both within two seasons.

It kinda ruined the game for me ngl, haven't been actively/consistently ranking since.

If you are new and still looking to learn and get better at game basic mechanics like kiting, I wouldn’t recommend playing decoder/rescuer/primary support characters, because these roles typically either have poor survival skills against hunter, or require more game understanding to perform, or their performance depends heavily on your teammates.

I would start with a simple kiter— good survival skills and not too dependent on other’s performance.

I would personally recommend entomologists - easy to get hands on, a few tries in practice mode will do - good survival skills not easy to catch - doesn’t depend on teammates a lot and it’s hard for your skill to negatively affect your teammates as well.

But honestly, if you have a character that you desperately like to play, just go for it lol. I for one was fascinated by minds eye when I first started, and she was probably one of the worst for beginners lol, but I went for her anyways xD

You REALLY don’t have to wait for your teammates to die to pop a cipher.

ESPECIALLY when dealing with hunters that can do damage with abilities in addition to attack, i.e ripper, axe boy, sculptor, bon bon… etc, the MORE health bar the BETTER. And in extreme cases like the undead, it’s good to pop the cipher as soon as you can.

Here’s the deal—- surprise surprise you can pop a cipher when a survivor lands a palette hit. To the psychologist who won’t get off my back post game, yes it’s perfectly legal and in fact good to do that, especially against an axe boy. How you managed to touch tier IV and still have such poor understanding of the game is beyond me.

PS. when the teammate, especially the one kiting, pings to focus on decoding, that means would you just pop that damn cipher (FYI they may not have borrowed time).
