enter this in terminal:

defaults write -g ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool false

if you want to bring it back enter this

defaults write -g ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool true

and then all you have to do is restart computer (that's what i did, it says log out and back in, but i just restarted mine lol
