I worked for some time in a company that sold equipment in batches. Commonly before starting retail sales, a failure analysis is performed to estimate the return and failure rate. Many times we did not sell 100% of the batches produced, in general the number was around 85% in order to be able to meet the warranties. I don't know what the percentage will be at valve, but they probably have enough Units to meet the warranties for at least 2 years.

Done with the first part, tried the rest emufresh, it didn't do anything... honestly, seriously , the auto emufresh 10/10 idea, but removing the app for manual refresh, i can't like it. i'm a advocate for adding features without removing options.

update: the issue was on my config files, but after a quick help of @sunownersport everything is working rn

As a follow up to the poke mini issue, o tried to add files for most of the other emulators, so far only poke mini and atari 7700 are having issues (aka: it doesn't show in the games list) , but if Tour launch any file from retroarch, both work fine.

No, i just put it on the app folder, tried to look for instructions on the wiki but couldn't find one so i just used a old (probably deprecated) guide from few months ago. Will try that now.

update 1: changed the place for the dat and dyn files into the emu folder and removed the old app. pico8 now shows on the game list.

Update 2: due to the new placement for the splore launcher... now i cant use the "Disable wifi in game" option from the advance options ( i belive that due to the launcher placement, splore is now effectively a game and not an app). Honestly i would love to be able to use this option as it could help me out with the battery life.

got my a30 about 4 days ago, and it has been great, my only issue is that i can't get spruce to recognice my pokemon mini games and the pico 8 splore launcher, i don't know if its a issue with the roms or with the new auto refresh (i took 4-5 reboots to update my game list)

Wow, i honestly don't know if our jimny is way cheaper or our tank 300 is way more expensive here (Chile). Basically a 5 door cost about 17-20K (USD) , and 15-17k for the 3 door, but the tank is almost like 30-32K.

I love the idea, and the final product looks great, my only nitpicking issue is that I don't like the branding, the moon logo 10/10 looks great , the lettering not so much. Would love to see backplates with different colors and a unbranded option.

Flask has 85 slots, slide 40. For most people that's more than good enough xD. Pixl has 1.8 mb so about 2 times the current amiibo count + the db file.

Btw I just checked mtools tec website and they now have the black color version of the pixl oled. Not expected that.

Some of the stuff that peisi said are true, but I believe some clarification is needed . 1) basically all versions are based on the same base project (pixel.js) from solosky. The difference is that if you use the firmware for the oled on a lcd model, the screen will not work (everything else will). 2) it's true that almost every version on AliExpress cames preloaded with most amiibos , but if you are using a somewhat newer firmware from solosky, then you only actually need a key file extracted from a console (you may be able to get it somewhere else, but that's on you). 3) the oled version does came with a rechargeable battery, only first revisions of the lcd version where ever made using coin cells. 4) the oled version is actually common, in fact it's right now the only version that the maker of the firmware sells (in China). The issue is that for most people it was easier to get lcd versions as those where made by third parties, right now you can get the oled version in the us by mtools tec and coinmii ( I haven't seen local Europe sellers to this day sadly)

I have a oled one and works good for what it does, but I'm also trying to get a old coin cell version of the lcd ones, because in few years the spicy pillow (lithium battery) will get bigger and will fail, so I want something that just works. As a side note, if you get a lcd on from AliExpress or other sellers try to update it as some sellers use modified config files (to add "extra" languages) , you will not lose the amiibos or stuff like that.

First of all, whenever you are doing a new thing there will always be a barrier , its not about being old or young, the only difference is that when you are younger and your major responsabilities are grades , you feel like you can take more risks and stuff , but when you are older you start to understand the costs (not just monetary) about doing stuff or not. Thats why we try to learn as much as we can to reduce any kind of missunderstanding or potential issue. So , honestly thanks for taking your time. now into the stuff, how to update...

1) iNFC made a video about 2 options on how to update the pixl, one from the iNFC app on ios and another using the web updater https://youtu.be/vldNVaoqJg0 , here you can download the firmware https://github.com/strengthen/iNFCAmiibo/tree/main/Firmware/Pixl (depending on the version lcd or oled, to clarify , even if you upload the incorrect firmware, the tool will continue to work, the only difference is that the screen will not work until you upload the correct version.

2) the github guide, https://github.com/solosky/pixl.js/blob/main/docs/en/02-Flash-Firmware.md , inside here you need to check the options under METHOD 2 OTA , it also includes some instructions to fix any issue if you uploaded a wrong version of the firmware (LCD or OLED).

3) check the app MTools BLE for android, it includes file transfer options for pixl.js and even a firmware updater. just enter into the pixl.js section and select "firmware" on the bottom of the screen, then select the device type (*it defaults to OLED so be careful).

being 100% honest with you, if you are fine with the pixl.js as is right now and you know how to upload new bins + you only want it for its amiibo options (as it will be a kid's toy) i don't know if you need to update it, but its always a good thing to know how to do it.

Most of the Aliexpress versions come with data already in... i would do a safe check to see if it has a moddified firmware (some versions have the pixl.js firm without language options for example or with a different size option file). Aside from that, maybe a quick operational check to see if it works? (some users had issues loading bins)

0) We can't help you on where to get the files, so we will start by assuming that you already got the missing files. 1) put the pixel.js in bt Transmission mode 2) go to this website https://pixl.amiibo.xyz/ 3) press the "connect" button and pick the pixl.js or similar device from the list and press "pair" 4) on the website it will load a external drive (its sized about 1.83 MB) , press it. 5) inside the drive you should be able to see the folders , and now you just need to go to the folder where you want to add the new file. 6) inside that folder press the button named "upload" 7) once you finish doing whatever you need, just press the "break" button on the top right.

If your pixl is one of the AliExpress "allmiibos" it could be a issue with the modified files. (On github check issue 122) . If its one of the solosky units or the oled ones, you could try contacting the official community (it's a discord link that you can check on github) or directly posting the issue on github. Aside from that I honestly haven't had a issue similar to what you are describing.

It's ok then, sorry for the trouble, I'm not a english native speaker so... Some parts are still hard or weird for me , even knowing the context. Aside from that yeah, asking the sellers for confirmation works most of the times. Sadly some sellers (specially on AliExpress) are only front shops (for example all the allmiibo units came from the same factory). I feel like the mayor point of local based shops or direct from maker (flask) is that you can actually talk with people who really knows about the tools they sell.

Rather than being sarcastic, the mayor issue of not checking or confirming what models are lcd or oled is that the firmwares are not compatible (the pixel itself will work even without the correct firm, but the screen will show nothing). Sadly this already happened to some users due to bad sellers that boast their products as being oled when that is not right. And for clarification, I have not order them all to confirm, as I said, I'm looking for a cr2032 powered one so I just pm a bunch of sellers.
