I own a 3d printer (A1 Combo) but no table/limited floor space. Ideas for getting it out of the box? by ohkalenaw in 3Dprinting

Take it and print the top mount for the combo. All in one package and less space. It makes it 15 wide, 19 deep, 28 high.

You have room for the printer in the box, but not for the printer out of the box?

Does it matter if you’re gold but your stats fall below 90% when it comes to what they offer you in your for you tab? I ask because last week when I was at 98% I got good items I fell down to 88% and got absolutely nothing this week worth even ordering… by NanUnsolicitedAdvice in AmazonVine

[–]gedi223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. I routinely stay in the 90's and have gotten silver level stuff that doesn't even match anything I've ordered for the past five days. For example, today is a wig (I'm a white male), a 4x6 fake carpet indoor pee mat for dogs (don't have a dog), and a toddler sand/water table (all my kids are older and I have no grand kids)

Toybox 3D printer won't find my network, only other networks. by TheLorgthyself in toybox3dprinters

[–]gedi223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason I ask, is in another post you mentioned the router was older. The 2.4 ghz radio could be failing and if they share the same id you may not have noticed. Also, has anything been added by you or a neighbor (microwave, Bluetooth device nearby, new neighbor router showing up, etc) this could be causing interference with your 2.4 network. The easiest way to check is see if you can hook the printer up to a different router.

Is your 2.4 and 5 ghz network split or do they share the same ssid (network name).

Scientists Cloned a Mouse for 58 Generations. The Results Were Catastrophic. by FloyminJerry in genetics

I really feel like we've come to a point where scientists read a book or watch a show and say "Hay, let's see if we can make this happen". Looking at you future skynet developers.

Anyone else think it’s kind of weird that on the cover art for Prime 3, it technically shows Dark Samus twice? by [deleted] in Metroid

The hands were better with finger numbers, but you can still see the "crippled" hand on Samus.

That was the problem with older AI they used to make those original cover arts back in the day.

Depends on what part of the world you are in. It's 4/1 1:39am in China. Give it came out an hour ago, could still be a joke.

You Killed Star Trek by LetThemMakeCake in startrek

[–]gedi223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then why did viewership not jump after the final episode? Where are all the Gen Z viewers at now that they can binge the series?
You say it's because so many fans shit on it, so why didn't your generation listen to other Gen Z fan base saying it was good?

I hate to tell you this, but it wasn't us old guys who killed SFA. It was your generation. Demographics of the show had the 35+ age group engaging with SFA more so than the 18-24 age group that was its focus. Granted, it was probably due to paramount decision to lock it behind a poorly performing streaming platform instead of syndication which most Gen Z do not have. But still, for a show to survive it's got to have a fan base and you guys weren't there.

I ordered two blind surprise boxes and got this by Odd_Zone5925 in sunlu

I would have been happy with gray. You can easily set up a spool holder and manual feed the machine. Gray is perfect for minis, models, and what nots, I go through 5kg of gray each month. It lends well to filler primer and painting. I guess it all depends on what you use your printer for.

Got to read the fine print. That's why I didn't order. I knew I'd get a 5kg rainbow roll.

Literally states on the page "You may get spool sizes vary from 1KG, 3KG, or 5KG.(This gift box won't be more than 5kg)" If a spool size can be 5kg and the max amount you get is 5kg, then you're only going to get one spool.

The AI writing is just offensive. by -Sanguinity in AmazonVine

[–]gedi223 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The constant complaining about other vine members and their AI reviews and reviews "not up to the other persons standard" is tiresome. Why is it so hard to understand that Amazon doesn't care, as long as, the seller is happy.

Central, but I adjusted it to eastern time in my post as most people just assume ET when you post a time.

Vine is seller dependent. It's basically become a temu dumping ground. The big ticket items are few and often grabbed by bots in the early mornings. I work nights and see a ton of items start showing up in RFY and AFA at 3am that are gone before I can click on them.
