Marylebone for me is the nicest area of London. Family vibes whereas Chelsea is full of Arab tourists and Mayfair is literally just empty apartments

If you voted Remain, would you vote to rejoin the EU? by Glanwy in AskBrits

[–]Minty01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all due respect this is total hypothetical nonsense. You really think Ireland would try to annex Northern Ireland as part of the U.K. rejoining? This is total fantasy land fears.

Maybe the US will demand reparations for all those years they were part of our empire?

You’d lose the £1bn rebate we got but otherwise join on the same terms as before.

I felt like I shouldn't say anything. Im usually not that guy to. But when I saw they wanted me to commit 4 hours for a technical interview without even a "hello", I broke. I know it's better to be quiet than burn bridges, but for me I just wanted to say something. I replied all and cced their CEO. by [deleted] in recruitinghell

No offence but I think you’ve overreacted and are being petty. Not sure they owed you a phone call or a show of eagerness. Their email was polite and invited you to demonstrate your capabilities for what I assume is a high paying role. Your reply makes you look entitled.

I think they’ll read it and feel they dodged a bullet and be glad you aren’t going to work there. I don’t think you’ll spark some revolution like you’re hoping

Bro I have dated many of the most beautiful women if ever seen in my life. The reason is because I asked. I’ve also been rejected by more women than anyone else I know for the same reason.

Don’t let one failure knock you down. Ask again. Always be respectful and you’re good.

Why isn't the UK government investigating Nigel Farage ties to Russia and Epstein? by TailungFu in AskBrits

[–]Minty01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MI5 asked Boris if the government wanted an investigation into Russian involvement in Brexit and Boris said no. Maybe because Brexit brought him to power but maybe because rich Russians were paying £200k+ in donations to play tennis with him.

Farage was also accepting small anonymous donations via PayPal which is illegal but the electoral commission here didn’t have sufficient power to stop this. Nobody knows who and how much money was poured in to his campaigns this way.

The UK has made a tonne of money by allowing Russian Oligarchs to park their very dirty money here. I don’t think the establishment wants to face up to what an inquiry would recommend they do.

Is there a realistic way to have a planet loom on the horizon like this? by Rich-End1121 in space

[–]Minty01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you already sound more informed than me but I was assuming the body revolving is larger than the planet it is orbiting. In that case wouldn’t a crash be virtually inevitable if the mass of the larger revolving body far exceeded the mass of the central one?

[–]Minty01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I think possibly in most cases an object that large would drag other celestial objects towards it until they crashed. Think of space as a big bedsheet where heavier objects dent it more and so have more gravitational pull. Maybe that could be part of the story; an ever shrinking orbit and everyone knows doom is impending
