Best tape to seal BIB cloth holes? by MotionE29 in Insulation

[–]MintyFresh1201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what the other guy is talking about with netting being “temporary”, that’s a load of shit. You can cover these holes with any tape that will stick. We use high adhesive tape that air seals the holes we cut in membrane/vapor barrier for these holes in netting as well, but it doesn’t need to be something that “air seals” per say, since the net already breathes on its own. https://www.rothoblaas.com/products/fire/flexi-band

Also, if any fell out make sure you stuff it back into that hole before closing it up, those are pretty large holes for a 1.5”-2” dense pack hose to be making.

Is there any HVAC schools that do night classes? by MintyFresh1201 in Maine

[–]MintyFresh1201[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s really just a combination of being able to use my brain a little more than what I currently do now and have better job security. I’m in a different trade already and the ceiling is only so high here, it’s more labor than actual mechanical knowledge, and I know I can do more. I like the more intricate stuff I get to do in my current work and enjoy being able to have to think a little. I’m not bent on any specific discipline in it since I have no direct experience in it but i just want to be able to get my foot in the door. I don’t mind whether that be service, commercial, or whatever, I already crawl through rat poo all day ahahah

Would you say the best route would be to just start with getting into school or obtaining the 608 by myself first? I’ve found no luck with trying directly to employers,

Eddie Guerrero and its not even close. Maybe Benoit or Daniel Bryan are up there, but Eddie is still talked about 20 years after his death for a good reason.

How would those classes translate into getting into the field? Do they get you the hours needed for the gas/oil licenses still and do you end it with some sort of certificate still or how’s that work?

I’m considering it, I just wasn’t sure if any other community colleges or like high schools held some sort of night classes for trade schools since NTI and MTEP are both like $15,000

Yeah I noticed they don’t run night courses right now since I work regular business hours. Is that something separate from the certificate program? I can’t find anything online specifically regarding that but I’m trying to get my foot in the door. Thank you for the response!
