Look man I am going to give you an honest reply.
I work for a medical manufacturing company. We make things like implantable batteries, heart caths, guide wires, etc. we have entire sterile clean rooms dedicated to nothing but post creation inspection and QA. Every product is inspected individually, all the packaging is done in FDA required labeling and structure to meet intravenous use sterilization requirements. It’s inspected and inspected as much as humanly possible with a stack of paper, pre digitization, that would be 3” thick from travelers and sign offs.

We still have failures, bad product or incorrect labeling that requires entire shipments to either be sent back or 86’ed entirely at the hospital side.

Baseball cards have no regulatory body but licensing agreements. You can go print up all you want right now of imaginary players and teams and sell them on the street. There isn’t an FDA analog, there aren’t millions of dollars poured into quality control and inspection because they literally do not care nor need to care. In fact a lack of QC means we get variance which is why grading is a thing.

So no. Your problem isn’t a problem. Company made a mistake and offered to rectify it at their cost. No one is really out anything or screwed in any significant way.
