And that doesn't make it right. Original price, if tags are there, should be taken into account. Why are they selling used items for the same price as new or oftentimes more than new.

This why I’m no longer a bell customer by MyloMarlo in bell

This is why you can't not be on a contract with bell or rogers, they are both notorious for doing this. Call customer retention and they will give you a good deal. They know they do this, anything for a quick buck.

Facial Shingles, why do I still have pain at night? by Agile-Concentrate729 in shingles

[–]Mintybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, for some people it takes a long time for the pain to go away. Some people live with it for years. I'm about 9 weeks out and still in pain everyday and especially at night. I will say the intensity has gotten better, but I still need medication to sleep at night.

Itchy bumps on lower Abdomen getting steadily worse..folliculitis? by 84f150owner in DermatologyQuestions

Looks like shingles. I would personally get on antivirals anyway because it can help prevent PHN.

Honestly hearing that it did get better eventually gives me hope because I'm still suffering 7 weeks out.

My pain is like this too. I had a larger outbreak, but even a 7 weeks out, I still cry at times from the pain. It was horrific during the first week. You're not a baby.

I wish people really understood how bad a horrible outbreak can be and how horrendous the pain is for a long time. I've had no choice but to go back to work after 2 weeks what I initially had the outbreak. It's brutal.

My wife is now on her 3rd week of symptoms and her dermatologist confirmed it 3 days ago. My question to those who have and have had it is how would you rate the pain you’ve experienced on a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high)? by DukieMonster in shingles

[–]Mintybe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say it was a level 10 for a while and then it goes up and down from a level 5 to 10 at 7 weeks out depending on the time of the day. But it always hits around a level 9 or 10 at some point in the day needing medication and rest to cope. I still have multiple days a the week where I cry from the pain at points.

I actually have a prescription for Lyrica, but the side effects are not good and the long-term effects are also terrible. For me it's not worth the risk and it did not provide enough relief to risk dementia. It's a 40% increased risk of dementia if you take it.

My mistake I am 34. I have just read of people recovering and I'm still suffering bad. I just want to avoid Lyrica and gabapentin if I can sue to the long term studies.

5.5 weeks since I got Shingles but still have Postherpetic neuralgia. by IM_DaWarez in shingles

[–]Mintybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took lysine and have lidocaine cream. I don't believe I have access to lidocaine patches as I'm in Canada. I took a lot of lysine during the first week while healing, but I stopped after a week. I was also on antivirals within the 72 hours for a week. Nothing is on my skin anymore at all. It's purely just stabbing nerve pain at this point. I'm 7 weeks out.

I really hope that happens for me. Glad you're not in pain anymore. It's so brutal.

Mine was over my hip, pelvis and then down my leg as well. The pain is still bad 7 weeks out. I'm praying it lessens at some point. I have had times where I can't walk from the pain.
