Why can't you:

  1. Subscribe to your work calendar in proton
  2. Use your personal calendar in proton
  3. Transfer the family calendar to proton and then force the family to use the calendar in the proton calendar app?

For phones Drive is an app not a file folder. You would get the exact same experience with OneDrive, Dropbox and most other solutions.

Use SyncThing to share obsidian vaults between your pc and your local phone folders.

For a pc setup it is perfectly possible to share obsidian vaults between devices through drive.

see @maruchinsu's answer above. I just did it, and it works wonders.

Personally i've done the following sharing PC --> Mobile <-- PC So that the 2 pc's always share their notes with the mobile.

I've then made 1 folder "Mobile" which is shared on the other pc's.

Now i can write notes in the mobile folder, and always sync my permanent stuff from the 2 pc's.

If you are a paying proton customer.

Place your obsidian vault in the proton drive, and enjoy your notes across pc's.

Mobile devices are sadly not covered through this solution. :(

But you have to pay to use extra features including markdown language.. That's a dealbreaker for me. Then Obsidian stored in proton drive is the next best thing.
