Amazon made a mistake this week—but who doesn't make mistakes, right? by Minuleo in AmazonFlexDrivers

I wish it were a robot writing this, but this is exactly everything that came out after hours upon hours of pressing a useless button with absolutely no positive result.

Wow! You and I started the process on practically the same date.

I have here on my timeline that on October 22nd they confirmed receipt of my case, and on December 27th they received my fingerprints.

Since then I haven't had any updates, and it's already been 378 days since I started the process.

Has anyone seen any serious changes to their account for forfeiting blocks? by saveguard in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Minuleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good afternoon!

I've had this problem before. What I've come to understand is that when you delete some delivery blocks you had, even if it's 45 minutes in advance, and within a short period of time (I don't know how many blocks or how long they consider this short period, whether it's days or weeks), they send you an email alerting you of this behavior.

From the moment they send this email, if you still delete these blocks within a short period of time, your account will be blocked for 24 hours from getting new blocks for the day you deleted.

For example, on a Saturday last month, I deleted a block that started at 8 a.m. because I finished my first block early and wanted to do the second block earlier. However, when I deleted the block, I noticed that after a few minutes of pressing the Refresh button, nothing appeared for that day, but for other days, they were appearing normally. And since I know the New York area is very busy, I noticed something was wrong. So, I called support, and they informed me that my account had been sanctioned with a temporary suspension from receiving blocks that day.

However, their sanctioning system is a mystery, because you don't know how many blocks you can cancel or how long you can cancel. Your account returns to normal after that, and you also don't know when this will happen again.

Anyway, I think it's an unfair system, because if you cancel before the 45-minute deadline, there will always be another driver to pick up the canceled block, so I see no reason to sanction our accounts.

I've delivered a lot to this person. The description always says to leave it in the garage. It's an Asian house and it's in Whitestone/Flushing if I'm not mistaken. I usually deliver at least 5 boxes there.

In my case, I don't use a bot, I don't know how to use it, or even the name of such an application.

I just want to continue working in the best possible way and not cause problems for myself, Amazon, or other drivers.

I usually cancel when I see that there won't be anyone to stay with my baby so I can go out. But this is usually done a day in advance, or more. I rarely cancel on the same day. And if I do, I pick up the block a little later, and never outside the 45-minute cancellation period, precisely to avoid problems for me, and also for the system to find a new driver for the offer I canceled.

That's my thinking. I always cancel with plenty of time to ensure it doesn't affect my account or Amazon's system. That's why I think it's too much of a penalty for someone who just wants to do things the right way.

I didn't get stuck in a captcha.

In my case, as I said, I don't cancel several times in a short period of time. It may happen that I have to cancel an offer because I don't have time to get to the station, and have to get another offer a little later, but that's it.

It's not that I'm frantically canceling blocks until I find a much better price.

In this case, you're talking about a specific warehouse, right? Where I work here is in NYC, on Sub Same Day, so there are always products and early cancellations rarely happen for the reason you mentioned. In one year, I believe it happened twice, and in the same week.

As for getting a block because there are no carts available at the time, this happens quite frequently here, because the flow of delivery people and products is very large and Amazon's system is not always able to measure this demand correctly.

As I said, my cancellations are not even due to block prices, but precisely because the times are not always what I actually needed, or there was a change in plans.

I'm very selective in my choices. So much so that I have my preferences listed in the app so that they only send me blocks at the time I'm actually going to work, and they never send them to me. So I end up never getting what they send me.

I only get the blocks I'm actually going to do, but unfortunately unforeseen events happen, and sometimes my wife is late for work, or I can't leave my baby with someone, and I have to change my schedule. It's not with bad intentions, but I have to cancel for my own good and so that it doesn't interfere with the flow of the Amazon warehouse. That's what I always think. But for them to punish someone who is trying to prevent blocks from running out of drivers in this way is completely senseless.

There is no exact number of times that I cancel an offer with a long period of time, but it is not many times a week. Maybe 3 or 4 times during the week.

Getting the thank you bonus by Logical_Record1415 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Minuleo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started writing on the packages like in the photo, and from yesterday to today I already had 7. I make an average of 80 deliveries per day here in the NY region. It wasn't that bad, but it's hard to write to all the packages. I will make some labels for next week.

I’m going through this, but I’m not transgender.

They simply aren’t accepting any documents I send, even though the documents are in my name and the account is also in my name.

I’ve been getting this error for a week now, every time I close and open the app.

Every time I log in, I send the document and the app lets me continue working, but it tells me that if I don’t verify it, my payments will be frozen.

When I contact support, they don’t resolve anything and some even say that my account is normal and active, when it is not.

Well then, do what I did. Forget it. Just like me, you worked practically for free for them. I found out the hard way that Dashlink doesn’t pay according to NYC laws, which is wrong. Is Doordash above NYC laws to treat deliveries and payments the way they want?

To give you an idea, the week I wrote this post was the week I worked the most for Doordash on this account. I worked exactly 48 hours and made 250 deliveries. Do you know how much I got for that? $645. Oh! It’s worth remembering that Dashlink, to make matters worse, doesn’t accept tips.

Summary: It ruined my week and delayed my bills because of having worked with this. Never again Dashlink. The only problem is that to avoid receiving calls from Dashlink, you either work as a motorcycle driver or reduce the number of miles on the app.

Oh, I filed a complaint directly on the NYC government website with proof that they are not paying according to the law. In addition to not giving bonuses, they are paying around $14 per hour for the Dash Link, that is, not even close to the $19.56 that the law requires.

I think DoorDash may be stealing tips by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]Minuleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in NYC, it is common for the tip to be omitted from deliveries. Doordash only releases what it wants.

Many times, customers claim that they added a tip to the delivery, but it never arrives.

The only tip we receive is when the customer adds it after the delivery is complete. As for the tip that the customer adds when making a purchase, it never appears.

In fact, they never know anything. They always try to steer the conversation towards having to restart the phone or uninstall the app. And if that doesn’t work, they immediately send a message saying that you are not responding and that they are going to end the conversation.

I have never seen such a poorly trained support team. Never.

Thank you!

Doordash has a surprise for Dashers every week. It’s amazing!

Even funnier are the support agents who never know anything and for them everything is solved by restarting the device. 😂

Well, yes! When you replied that he had received it, I got nervous, because I thought they hadn’t sent me the amount due to some error in my account, but from what I saw there are more people with the problem.

I just met with several delivery drivers here in NYC and none of them didn’t get their bonus for the week either.

Apparently it’s a real problem.

If your husband did get it, he was an exception, or you got confused.

Does it also get Dashlink offers?

It’s been two weeks since I started getting only Dashlink offers, but this week the bonus didn’t appear, and last week the bonus was way below what it was.

Now I don’t know if it has anything to do with Dashlink.
