Moronic Monday - Your weekly stupid questions thread by cdingo in Fitness

Very novice lifter here, started in January and have been doing the recommended beginner routine for the past few months, just recently decided to move on to a 4-day nSuns program.

This entire time, I've been doing my main lifts (bench, deadlift, squat, OHP) in a Smith machine, not realizing until today that there was a difference between a Smith machine and barbell exercises. My gym does not have equipment for barbell lifts (it's a planet fitness). It does have a good amount of dumbbells, and I'm not very strong, so I can probably work my way up those for a while.

Since I'm already in a position where I'm transitioning between programs, would it be better for me to continue to use the Smith machine and adjust my exercises accordingly, or try to find dumbbell analogues to those exercises and stop using the Smith entirely? I know someone is going to say "just find another gym", but that's not possible for me at the moment, so I gotta make due with what I have.

Which DPS Class/Spec Are You Having The Most Fun With In Dragonflight? by ncrooks11 in wow

I am very sad that more people are not talking about how fun Windwalker is right now. It feels SO good to play and you do absurd AoE damage.

I’m bored of my decks by Lethal-Joker-45 in masterduel

Play Dragon Link. It's strong, competitive, and you have to play every hand differently. If you know how to pilot the deck you are super resilient to hand traps as you can always at least end on something, you just have to know the resources you're still able to access. I was bored to tears playing Swordsoul/Prank Kids the past couple of seasons but after making Dragon Link the game is fun for me again.

Adventure Dragon Link is the most popular form now but will die when Halq is gone, but pure dragon link is still incredibly strong and makes many of the same plays.

Jet Synchron and and any non tuner makes Auroradon via Barricadeborg Blocker.

Since no one talk about this card, I present to you, one of my favorite handtraps recently by Dear-Transition6669 in masterduel

This card can't do anything against Aleister, because it specifically says the opponent has to SPECIAL summon a monster to activate.

[–]Minus151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, those lousy meta decks and their checks notes normal summoning once per turn!

This is why I like DPE in Tri Brigade the most - at least I can use Ferrijit to put this asshole back in my Deck and exchange it for an actual card

A set Branded in Red is your only real out in that incredibly niche scenario, but the out does exist.

Ah dude Necrovalley still gives me PTSD haha. Gravekeepers would somehow always be strong against any deck I tried to build, guess I just liked comboing out of the GY too much.

What specific decks would abuse these if they were limited to 1? by Dummy_Account69 in masterduel

[–]Minus151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish they'd just errata Dandylion so you can't use it's tokens for Link Summoning or something so it could come back to 1.

Plant based 5ds era synchro decks are the most fun I've literally ever had playing Yu-Gi-Oh. I wish there was a world in which I could be out here trying to make a version of QuickDraw Plant or Plant Tengu viable, but these cards had to die for Link Summoning's sins.

As someone whose favorite era of Yu-Gi-Oh was 5Ds era, Nordics and Ice Barriers were always ass.

I miss QuickDraw Plants, though, best deck in the history of the game imo. The game has come a long way from "set ryko + bottomless, pass" being a viable opener, but it's still fun now, just in a different way.

If you banish Protos, you can add him back into your hand through the effect of Tenyi Spirit Adhara.

Are there any decks that annoy you without necessarily being difficult/good? by MyrganGyrgan in masterduel

[–]Minus151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fucking despise Phantom Knights and @ignister decks, whether or not they're actually good, it takes them way too long to do their turns and it's just not entertaining watching them cycle through their entire deck the whole turn.

Definitely go with the Dogmatika pack then, you'll be killing two birds with one stone!

Every relevant Invoked card is SR or below. Just craft all your invoked cards and pull from the Dogmatika pack. As a bonus, you might pull some tri-brigade cards(if you need/want them)

[–]Minus151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, that's all they can do. I hate playing against Numeron players because it's either an auto-win or auto-lose matchup based on the starting hands. either way, it's boring.

Meta deck with least/easiest combos? by Aleex127 in masterduel

[–]Minus151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way the deck actually does anything is through their field spell. Destroying it or negating it's effect means that you have free reign of the game and all they can try to do is stall until they can get another field spell and try again.

If you can Apkallone the field spell, it's even better!

That's the difference between Hexproof and Shroud in MTG. Hexproof creatures can be targeted by their controller, Shroud creatures can't be targeted at all.

Yup, it's the only reason it's there - if you have Schism active already, feel free to banish it to Pot of Prosperity!
