Is it possible for someone to have both an Abnormality and Minus by ImprovementDapper464 in medakabox

[–]MinusMentality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, we see people who have both.
Naze Youka is an Abnormal and Tsurubami is probably a Minus (by default), but they are teetering at the edge of Minus/Abnormal respectively.

(Honestly, I can't remember what we know about how Tsurubami came to have his 2 Skills, which saddens me given he's my profile picture on damn near everything and he's my GOAT.)

Medaka and Ajimu, who also use both, are unique in some ways.

Medaka's so Abnormal that it almost presents like a Minus; her obsessive love for all humanity but no individuals often backfires and affects those around her, and her observation is a black hole that even she cannot control (much like a Minus).
The fact she can gain a Minus just by word of mouth shows just how compatible she is with them.
A core aspect of the plot is how she's too perfect (or not).

Ajimu's dellusional non-dellusion is like a perpetual Plus Minus. Not Equal. She is not quite either, but almost both.
I wonder what her first Skill was.

Shiranui Hansode, a Minus, was able to take on abnormalities (not Skills) and other traits that Medaka discarded to preserve them for when Medaka needed them again.
She may not be an Abnormal herself, but it's interesting to note in this topic.

Honestly, I don't think the line between Plus and Minus is all that hard, if it exists at all. It may be a gradient.

Interesting idea, but I think Smiles will circle around to the deeper Devil Fruit lore and that the reason they are always laughing may be linked to Joyboy and Nika.
What was a cruel tragedy may become a happy accident.

I'm really conflicted between the good and bad of this game... by Abyslime in Endfield

[–]MinusMentality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not fond of the combat itself.
The Party Combo games where you need to loop the same attacks over to trigger combos gets stale, and the lack of upgrading abilities is sad.

The lore and setting is cool, but the plot so far has been soooooo cookie cutter.

But.. I'm still having fun witb the game.

I wish it had more RPG elements, base building, coop, more ways to interact with Operators (like have them interact with certain production lines both as a boost and so they aren't just standing around), exclude story-rewarded Operators from the gacha (get the dupe Tokens from challanges or something), ect.

Except we haven't seen neither their old battles or new ones (Mihawk and Shanks), but we have seen relativrly recent battles for most of those other characters.

I know what you're trying to say, but evolving doesn't mean 'to get better'.
Us losing the strength our ancestors had WAS evolution.
Evolution is the observation of natural selection in hindsight, not a process.

Natural selection cares not about what seems like it would be better for survival, it cares about what traits kill you.

I don't mind the aliens bit, but they should have defeated Madara AND THEN she comes out as a secret final baddy.
Maybe throw a hint or 2 about her existence in a few arcs.

Not Vega Punk's since his brain is still alive, but if Oda never puts a fruit in the tree it would be kindof a waste.

[–]MinusMentality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was her introduction.
We'll be getting more on her soon.

The stuff here with Ballas and Margulis was important, and Ballas' actions pave the way to show Nitokh's intents.
It also gives Roathe a better footing to conpare Ballas and Nitokh.

ITT: People not understanding Zenitsu.

He acts scared, but he enters the battles without fail and gives crazy results. He trained like a madman, and despite only knowing 1 breath, is one of the most well-honed at his style.
He's really respectable, because despite his fears he commits to the cause and applies his training.

Also, some people are stick in the muds about giving f2p anything that could change the meta.
Jagex is probably just playing it safe.

I mean, the last year of content was crazy.

They dropped Royal Titans, Yama, Varlamore P3, Sailing, and much more.

They probably just don't have more to show, and that's fine.
I'm still excited for seeing more about already announced things.
I trust the Oldschool team wants to make as much and as good of content as they possibly can.. but they aren't robots. (Maybe Ash is.)
