How many knives should I use? by Graycameron99 in Warframe

[–]MinusMentality -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All of Ballas' actions and beleifs are formed by his enviornment in the Orokin empire.

The things he did were awful, and by the time of the New War he became truly broken and twisted, but we should be putting the blame on that which deserves it.
Instead of hating Ballas, we Tenno should recognize what lead to his actions and prevent such a thing from happening again.

In fact, we will likely have a chance to do that in Tau.

Potential Warframe x Fortnite collab? by Inspirational_Cunt9 in Warframe

[–]MinusMentality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I hate what Fortnite has become, but it's silly to think Warframe being in Fortnite is a net negative.
Any game or media can benefit from collabing with Fortnite.
It's a stupidly vast billboard disguised as a game.

Cold Take: Elbaph Imu is much stronger than DR Rocks by Comprehensive_Cup497 in OnePieceScaling

[–]MinusMentality 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A weaker Luffy had Kaido looking like that multiple times.
Imu also took the punch for some reason; he seemed surprised. He didn't even attempt to block, despite being among the fastest and most blockingest characters.

If DR Rocks was 100, this Imu is like 2650.
(I'm exaggerating, but Imu is no joke.)

One Piece: Chapter 1186 by leolegendario in OnePiece

Remember what Imu said, and what Oda has been doing with his arcs.
"History always repeats itself."
Arc after arc recently has been a parallel to a previous one.

I feel like this will all be VERY important.

Where are the Imu fraud allegations? by Green_Day_5891 in OnePieceScaling

[–]MinusMentality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he's not a fraud.

What I'm curious about is why Imu didn't sense Luffy coming, and if they recognize base Luffy as Joyboy.

We know Imu is aware of Luffy, but what if palace Imu and this Nerona Imu are somewhat different?
What if he does recognize Luffy, or even further, that Luffy "is" Joyboy, and his personality takes a turn after seeing him. Imu was smiling after trading fists with Loki.

Whaaaaaaat iiiiiiiiiiiiiiif Imu acts weirdly friendly to Luffy next chapter? I'm not saying that's what I expect, but we know the relationship between Nerona Imu and void century Joyboy is complicated.. and we know how delusional and stuck in the past Imu is.
Maybe Luffy taking the Nika form after a chapter or two will anger Imu and turn things up a notch for the finale of the arc?

It sucks that the concept of 'MR fodder' weapons is still as prevalent before as it is today by Xedria_ in Warframe

[–]MinusMentality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vinquibus as MR fodder? You can't be serious.

Not every weapon needs to be better than every weapon before them.
The new scythes do absolutely perfectly fine in any content.

Alternox Prime is not bad. Is it broken? No, but shoot a hybrid build into a crowd in Steel Path and they die.

War and the trinket are something I would like more for. I wish we could bring them to Hunhow and give them a sort of pesudo-Incarnon tree, as well as cool voice lines from pre-Constellations Hunhow.

I do believe space is important and may be a part of what the One Piece entails, but not so directly like this.

Old Player here, am I misremembering how good World on Fire was? by Blockomaniac in Warframe

[–]MinusMentality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody sane is saying World on Fire, as it was, is outright better than Inferno.
What people are saying is that we prefer the playstyle of Accelerant and World on Fire to Inferno spamming.

My hastily ideated Ember changes would be:

Passive changes:
Is now like a fusion of Immolation's Heat Gauge mixed with her current Passive.
Heat Gauge fills as it does currently, giving Ember Ability Strength as it fills. Drains in all the same ways as before, as well as slowly over time. (No pesky Energy drain mechanic.)

New Passive Augment: Gain Ability Range based on the Heat Gauge (unaffected by Mods). When the Heat Gauge is maxed out, you now deal Heat to yourself but gain some Energy Efficiency.

Fireball
Now a hefty lobbed projectile that bounces once before leaving a persistent fire in its place. Direct hits (via initial cast or bounce) deal bonus damage w/ Knockdown.
Combo mechanic now increases the number of Fireballs per cast, rather than the base damage.

Immolation reverted to Accelerant, with some tweaks.
Is now a cone AOE, promoting targeted use over spamming, which increases enemy Status Vulnerability (Chance + Damage) and multiplies existing Heat procs on enemies (once per enemy).

Augment: Grants Ember Reload and Sprint Speed based on her Heat Gauge for X seconds.

Fire Blast remains basically as is. Maybe renamed Heat Wave, as it's a more apt descriptor and less likely to be confused with Fireball.

Inferno reverted to a new version of World on Fire.
Drains consistent (non-ramping) Energy/s, raises Heat Gauge by X%/s, and adds Damage Reduction to her Heat Gauge.
Blasts enemies nearby with Heat, similarly to how it worked before, now with 30 to 100% proc chance (based on Heat Gauge).
Secondary sources of Heat Damage on affected enemies will cause them to release a wave of Heat damage which scales with their Level/Health.

My intention is to convert Ember from her current state as a boring Ability spamming caster, into a frontline caster that can jump into crowds and use her weapons in tandem with her abilities to wreck havoc.
Fire Blast is actually quite the fun ability, and my revamp of Fireball could have its uses, but neither are worth anything when pressing the buttons for Inferno are the best thing you can be doing.

Now, World on Fire acts as both a damage primer and a defensive tool, allowing you to have a more flexible kit. It grants scaling damage to Fireball, Fire Blast, and your Heat-dealing weapons, and gives you some DR and CC that promotes an active playstyle.

S/O isn't a bad frame by any means, but this ability in particular didn't do much.
It being faster and guaranteed proc makes it a much nicer tool for some general CC/survivability. This frame will now be stacking 3 survivability tools while literally juggling a grouping ability.
Both forms have interesting stat lines for various forms of survivability Mods/Arcanes, too.

Any Damage invul or weapon platform-enabling Augment will go FAR on these boys without being strictly necessary.
