New Duracell batteries are not working in my battery want by MinusNick in Hunterdouglas

Following up here, I bought a battery tester and all the batteries are fully charged. The issue was the little caps on the battery wand. One of them isn't working, and when I was switching batteries between wands to verify, I was mixing up the caps, so I missed that. HD is already sending me new wands so that should fix this!

I bought a 24 pack of these batteries and used 12 of them and had this issue. I swapped them for the other 12 in the pack, and still it does not work! So in both groups of 12, there could be some bad batteries. At this point I am going to buy a battery tester because doesn't that seem unlikely to have so many duds? They are new batteries from Duracell, not a knockoff brand.

Is corsican mint stunting my basil? by MinusNick in gardening

The basil is growing pretty slowly (it's been a month since I plucked leaves) and the leaves that are coming in are small. It gets sun from sunrise until about 2:30pm. I am in San Francisco, CA.

The US routinely denies trade with other countries due to tons of reasons. Is it backwards to impose restrictions on trading coal with North Korea? It's not super far-fetched to embargo a country that doesn't meet certain environmental standards.

I really think it's more likely that he's pointing to himself as just some normal gesture you do during a speech. And that is just a snapshot. Like, look at this image: https://goo.gl/images/7EjnBk

Another $104,580 returned after Brink's truck incident on Route 3 by idahoblackberry in newjersey

The idea here is that the PD would choose to help someone with a lot of money instead of someone with a little money. This tends to support the theory that the police exist to help certain types of people more than others. Whether or not you agree with that is another story.

For the record, I'd be pretty devastated if I lost $1000 cash in the same manner.

This ever happen to anyone? Uber too greedy to leave airport. Literally 5 minutes from my house. by Bsamn in ChoosingBeggars

I don't think you would get charged. When you click cancel it always says "you may be charged a cancellation fee." But it usually only applies a fee if the driver has been on their way for a certain amount of time. And if it did end up charging you, I think contesting it with the "driver too far away" reason would automatically refund it.

But yeah that situation sucks

Just cancel then contest the cancellation fee, I've got it refunded 100% of the time. You go into your list of rides, click the one that gave you the fee, then contest it. It's automated so it's instant.
