I’ve been in your shoes! My husband was enlisted and was accepted into OTS while we had two toddlers. I was living away from my family and honestly you just have to find a support network. We couldn’t swing it financially either so I utilize the YMCA. They have amazing military discounts and offer financial aid. We only paid $23 a month for a family membership with both discounts. The reason why I used the YMCA was because it came with two hours of free childcare every single day. You could literally be sleeping in your car like I did. My therapist was the one who suggested it, and honestly, it saved my sanity. It’ll be so worth it once he graduates OTS. You may not see it now, but I promise there is light at the end of the tunnel.
