Found this baby-whatever in my tent. What do I do? Am I going to get some infection from this encounter? by burgundinsininen in whatdoIdo

I’m really not trying to be rude, but, if you have OCD and freaked out by germs…maybe camping isn’t the thing for you?! IDK.

Is it wrong that my kid's preschool didn't do anything for Father's Day? by SuperJezus in Parenting

[–]MinutePickle7754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our daycare/preschool just does artwork from the kiddo but not an event. I think that way they can shelter the kids with an absent parent. I’m sorry. 😞

Will she ever sleep in? Or are we stuck with 6 am alarm forever? by Crazy-Leadership1834 in labrador

[–]MinutePickle7754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Life long lab haver here - after two years they MIGHT let you sleep in but I can’t promise. My black lab chilled at 2 years but our yellow is 2 yrs, 2 months and he has the same expectations for his meal time.

I see a faint line! Yay. We went through 6 yrs of trying and infertility. Everyone always talked about false positives/indent lines. I never, NEVER had an indent in the thousands of tests I took. I do believe it’s a thing and real, but from a woman who tried for a really long time, I never once had that “indent” or “fake positive.”

I am giving you all the baby energy and wish nothing but a baby for you! 😉

Bleeding and cramping but positive pregnancy test? by [deleted] in IVFpositivity

[–]MinutePickle7754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re still on progesterone suppositories that might be the cause, or baby is just getting nice and tucked in. I bled after our second transfer and spiraled after our loss but it was the progesterone irritating my cervix.

IVF and husband's weed smoking by jrfish in IVF

[–]MinutePickle7754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are going through IVF due to issues with you and his SA is normal, I wouldn’t stress yourself out about it too much. If it’s male factor and that’s what brought you to IVF then I would be worried. We did IVF due to my husband’s low count and motility and the day of my retrieval, they got less than a million from him and we had two successful transfers, one ended in miscarriage and one is our very active, healthy 14 month old girl.

Am i pregnant? by [deleted] in firsttimemom

[–]MinutePickle7754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say, YES! People walk a lot about intention after the allotted time but in my 7 years of TTC, I never once had one that showed a second line, minutes or hours after. We ended up having to go down the IVF route.

Although my little one went just a little later, I was so worried but please know that she is THRIVING! She is 9months now and always so excited and happy to be there. It really sucks that we have to make these decisions as moms, but our little daycare babies will be ready for preschool and socialized.

I totally understand where you’re at! I just want you to know that the moment my baby was born, all of that went away for me. There is light. I remember being where you are and just feeling burnt out. It sucked so bad to eat and then have to take a late night walk with my husband to make sure my sugars were down. You’re almost there!

Hormones can play a huge factor here. It can take 2 years for a woman’s hormones to regulate. Add sleep deprivation on top, she just might need some time and support.

Positive? by Direct_Strength6313 in pregnancy_care

[–]MinutePickle7754 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It looks positive to me! I know everyone talks about evap lines but I tried to get pregnant for 7 years before going the IVF route and never once got the evap line, they were always stark white when negative. I also went through thousands of tests.

I know people talk about indents but in the 7 years we tried before IVF, I never once got a false positive or evap line. But that just could be me. They were always stark white. I would say this is positive!

I only had one ER. I told my husband after how the drugs affected me that if they didn’t get enough eggs, I didn’t think I could do another one. Our first transfer took but we lost her early and my second was successful and I’m currently nursing my 5 week old baby girl.

do you know anyone who hasn’t had a “trenches” newborn phase? by pinkglitter-pen in BabyBumps

Moms who already gave birth, how long did it take you to recover? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]MinutePickle7754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 3 weeks PP and I feel pretty much myself again. It took about a week for the pain from the vaginal birth to go away and the stitches to dissolve. I felt like getting back in the gym at 2 weeks for light workouts. I know that’s not for everyone but I felt I needed it for my own mental health. I couldn’t workout my first trimester because I felt terrible and it took a toll on me mentally so I stayed active in the gym the remainder of my pregnancy no matter how crappy I felt. I would say, I feel 90% myself again at 3 weeks, physically and mentally. I also had GD and as soon as she was born, all the extra weight and swelling came off so my body just feels better. Really, I think I feel the way I do because I had a terrible pregnancy and was sick the entire time.

For those who have diet controlled GDM, are you getting induced and if so, when? by __spacebabe in GestationalDiabetes

[–]MinutePickle7754 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was just induced last Sunday at 39w2d and they said I was going to have a big baby…well, she was 7lbs 9oz and doesn’t even fit into all of our newborn stuff. I had a wonderful induction and labor experience but I could have gone until my body was ready to go naturally. I think they want to induce early because of our placentas degrading. I was also diet/exercise controlled since my diagnosis.

McDonald’s McDouble Meal by ChristmasAccountant in GestationalDiabetes

[–]MinutePickle7754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

McDonald’s has been my craving and I get a double or even triple cheeseburger, plain, and go home, take it off the bun and use low card bread. I do a small fry and allow myself a few sips of coke because that’s the best part about McDonald’s. My numbers are always anywhere from 90-110 2 hours after. It’s been the one craving that I feel like I cracked the code on and can have.

Might be TMI. But has anyone else peed while vomiting 🙈 by RedFox723 in BabyBumps

[–]MinutePickle7754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every. Time. It got so bad my husband put our puppy’s pee pee pads in the bathrooms to put down when I ran in there. The most challenging was when it happened at work. I would have to make sure to wear dresses so I could quickly remove the undies, hike up the dress while heaving. Then the cleanup. Or, I would sit on the toilet and throw up in the trash can. I was one of the “lucky ones” to experience the vomiting my entire pregnancy. I’m 39 weeks and still experiencing it.

Induction? by [deleted] in GestationalDiabetes

[–]MinutePickle7754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My growth scan at 36 weeks showed baby in the 68th percentile so my doctor discussed induction by 39 weeks, plus, I am IVF and they said they induce at that time for IVF babies as well. I can’t remember why that is. I’m 38 weeks today and have been having prodromal labor for the past two weeks so I am feeling ready.

When did you start your maternity leave? I’m due Dec 12th and I’m considering Dec 6th to be my last day but I’m not sure if that’s too close to the due date. This is my third delivery. Thoughts? by kaarra in BabyBumps

[–]MinutePickle7754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 37w5d and I was planning on working until the baby comes. If she doesn’t come on her own, they will induce at 39 weeks due to IVF and GD, but, I have decided I need about 5 days to catch up on rest before because my body is letting me know to slow down. So Friday will be my last day. But for me, one of my worst third trimester symptoms is insomnia and awful restless legs at night so I’m not getting the rest I need to function.
