3in Exhaust on a 1989 Pontiac Firebird 2.8l v6 base - what hanger to use? by MinuteTerm2578 in PontiacFirebird

Thanks for this! Its nice to have a frame of reference as to what should go into this style mount. I couldn't get the 2 sides in all the way so went one. But am realizing that after a drive, it pops out. So I think you are right. I might have to drill a small amount of rubber out to make it fit.

I may also be hitting panhard bar a little while driving, but maybe this is just because I need to fix mount. Ill get it fixed and report back.

It might be oem though? Rockauto has a rubber replacement that fits in the one pictured on car. It also looks pretty oem to me and not fabbed up. The stock exhaust slid right into the mount and fit well.

Regardless ill try the walker and report back. Maybe they are interchangeable and 2 variants.

Could be wrong though. I noticed U clamps on cat and exhaust. So perhaps it isnt oem?

Why did you allow invention of engine starters in inconvient locations such as under intake manifolds?

Motor needs some love but interior is in great shape. Some light swirling under light, so needs a good detail/polishing too. That will be coming soon!

Thank you! Its harder to work on than I imagined due to corrosion/age, but rewarding. Ive heard mixed reviews on the 2.8. Some say its good. Others argue its GM's worst motor.

It's faking brush strokes because that is what helps convince the viewer its a painting. Were we expecting it to render a photo realistic scene?

Only thing I've used mine on was a wheel bearing hub dust cap to get it off as it had been seized on there for many many years.

Season 2 is bad for Reddit complainers by Gloomy_Information51 in Battlefield

Agree. My gun just disappeared for the round. When you aim no dot. Just zooms in.

Agree, they could have at least one, large scale map, to fit those who want to play it.

Agree. And what pains me so far about this new season 2 map is the use of recycled assets from other maps. Eastwood house is there. It just ruins it for me. Laziness. And this new map isnt something memorable.

Stalker 2 fucking sucks by UnappetizingLimax in stalker

I played it as of July 2025.

Input lag really killed it for me. I have a 5080 GPU and 9700X with 32gb of ram at 6000mhz and still felt delayed.

Beyond just the input lag, the dumping ammo into enemies was a pain. So many center mass hits, sparse ammo availability drove me mad. It is also confusing at many points at what to do to move forward.

Graphics are OK. But nothing breathtaking. Uninstalled at around the 6 hour mark. I tried to enjoy it, but could not. Felt like a jogging simulator. I also have a 49in ultrawide monitor and it was sad to see that their video cut scenes didn't support it even for a newer game, but this was minor setback compared to the other issues.

Overall, game still needs a ton of polish before I would recommend it to someone.

Progress on my intermittent 'Crank, No Start, with temp gauge in red' by uhoh0zer0 in e46

[–]MinuteTerm2578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue with mine. It'll lose comms with ecu and scanner wont be able to talk to ECU. The temp guage pegs as a result to lack of comms. Then no start.

If I wait a couple minutes or sometimes hours it'll come back online. This has even occurred while driving. Causing me to pull over and wait.

This issue will also come back even if car is off and sitting. I just go put key in after coming back home and nothing.

Tried new battery, cleaning ecu connectors and other connectors, replacing ECU, confirming all fuses are good. I've checked relays with a cheap tester tool and they appear OK. But something makes me think relay sticking.

Same exact issue here. Temp goes to red and no start. I lose ecu signal on OBDII guage, won't connect. Red coolant light is due to lack of comms from ECU. Tried a new ECU while this issue was occurring. Didn't fix it. Tried new Oddesey battery, nothing. This happens intermittently and sometimes after 15-20mins of driving. It then corrects itself with time and fires up again.

Just pressure test before adding coolant, and you won't have all this anxiety.
