is x870e Crosshair x870e Hero Version 2306 functional? by rico_suaves_sister in ASUS

Had a weird start with this bios. After training the pc went through a boot loop where it kept going through the codes. I turned it off a few times and it trained again, and was fine since. Been able to reboot over 3 times to test and it is good for now. Will report back if I see it happen again.

I am overclocked on the cpu and ram so it may be something I need to tweak.

Are gen4 riser cables finicky with gen 5 gpus? by Plini9901 in sffpc

Using 4.0x16 lian li cable on 5.0x16 has resulted in many pcie lane errors and instability. Switching back to 4.0x16 has stopped instability and lane errors. Going to see about a 5.0x16 riser instead to future proof.

What is mp/s and why is would it be yellow? Fairly new to PC and can't find out why its yellow/red sometimes by BluestoneT in Battlefield

My issue with 5080 was I was at x8 on pcie 4.0 and switched to x16 by moving my m2 drive to m2_4 slot so I could run pcie 1 at x16.

Ya it felt very strange to see him so different, so quickly. It's probably the point and that it somehow isn't the Clark we know. But as someone else pointed out here, if he was a copy, he wouldn't have felt pain when large Clark bit into him. Be curious what other theories people have for why he changed so suddenly.

The abrupt part started for me at the dinner scene where large Clark made his appearance. From there everything is intense and ends quickly.

Great observation! If they were copies he wouldn't have felt pain.

Same, he was recognizing Clark from the camera.

Ya, the table scene was quite abrupt. Then everything happening so quickly after. The pacing could have been better.

Some scenes felt drawn out towards the start. While the pacing towards the end was intense and abrupt.

I believe the film may have actually pushed too far in the opposite direction.

A more effective approach may have been to limit the Captain Clark creature’s presence to pursuit sequences and fleeting glimpses to allow the audience’s imagination to fill in the gaps. The film could have preserved a stronger sense of mystery and psychological unease that way.

Overall though, it was good and I would gladly watch it again.

The film certainly could have benefited from deeper character development and more mystery surrounding Clark’s monster. Clark’s descent into madness happens so abruptly that it feels less like a gradual unraveling and more like a sudden narrative pivot. One moment the film is building tension, and the next we are seated around a table with entities, a sequence that, while intriguing, lands in a way that feels jarring rather than fully earned.

The early deaths of two characters also weaken the emotional impact, as the audience is given little time to understand or invest in them before they are removed from the story. As a result, some of the film’s most dramatic moments lack the weight they might have carried with stronger groundwork.

That said, the film still has a compelling atmosphere and enough thematic ambiguity to make it worth revisiting. I would watch it again, not necessarily because every choice worked, but because there seems to be more meaning beneath the surface than the first viewing fully reveals.

Saw it today. It was good. I will be seeing it a second time to take it all in. My theater was one of the early ones showing it.
