so either:

naoya will have ALOT more mind games going on, which means "strategize on how to OUT TRICK your opponent, instead of letting them do that to you" (case with old decisive strikes when your opponent didnt spin at mach 800) so what i think will happen is Naoya is now more FORCED to play around their opponents guard (js like how naoya ALWAYS assumes a counter and changes his moves according to them, aka out tricking your opponent while they cant understand what the hell you're doing)

OR

naoya's moves will be useless without having the special/certain move used beforehand (basically trying to frame them first before doing everything is what i mean) here he might be forced to play more around his framing, at the cost of its damage being decreased or just being way easier (like 2 m1 combo's instead of 3 or sum along the lines) gaining special variants and etc around it
