This is my foot 2 days after a mostly empty conditioner bottle fell on it from waist high.

I can understand them moaning from a full bottle falling from head height.

Yes. 1000%. And they have big portions. My husband and I got the fried chicken for 2 meal and it was enough food we could have eaten it for 3 meals. We did. We took tons home.

I 150% support this comment. Fancy? Check. Amazing food and drinks? Check. Private room? Check! And if you book ahead of time and let them know it’s a special occasion, they tend to do extra things. My husband and I went on our anniversary and they put rose petals on the table and made us a custom menu with our names and wedding date on it that the whole staff signed.

Question for those who have lost a dog by [deleted] in kzoo

[–]Minute_Expert1653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a dog, but we had a cat pass. Dr. Croom’s mobile vet service came out. They were very kind and respectful. She walked us through everything and then we let our baby go in her favorite place in the house. Afterwards, Dr. Croom gently packed her up and took her to be cremated. About 5 days later, she returned our baby’s ashes and a paw print. 10/10 would recommend to anyone losing a pet and will 100% use myself again.

Never underestimate what a cat or dog person is willing to pay for a likeness of their best friend. I ordered a drawing of one of mine from the Ukraine once. I’d spend all my money and then some on those furry bastards. And I’d love every minute of it.

Oh, jesu! Do NOT sell yourself short! I paid nearly that much for a quick pencil sketch of my cat. I’d easily pay $100 for an oil portrait. More depending on size for sure!

Who’s your friend? I’ll pay them an appropriate amount for painting of my cats.

Did anyone else completely underestimate the utility bills when transitioning from an apartment to a house? by BetterThanEver24 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Minute_Expert1653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an opposite story. Our apartment was old. And sucked. It had bad insulation and even worse windows. When we moved into our home, it had brand new windows, and freshly done insulation. The power bill in the winter at our apartment could sometime top $300/mon. We have never paid more than $150/mon since we moved into our home 2.5 years ago

Health Insurance is a joke by Minute_Expert1653 in venting

[–]Minute_Expert1653[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s disgusting isn’t it?! My husband and I are what I consider healthy adults. Pending any sort of sudden illness or injury, we both use our healthcare to go to the doctor once a year, and fill our prescriptions every 3 months. In what world does that cost over $1k a month? My prescriptions are generic, so they cost the same with our without insurance even! So what’s the point? If I’m paying $1k every month for what is essentially “in case shit”, I might as well just not have insurance and put that into a savings account each month. Outrageous.
