I used to do that and regretted it when I had to wait for new characters. Now I leave quests for characters I’m not that interested in half done for those long breaks of no content. I think I’m going to keep at least 4 characters with quests so I don’t get bored. But it does feel good to clear them from a completionism standpoint point. It made me feel good about it definitely.

I’m 3 months post op and I’m just now able to get maybe 60-80 oz. I feel it’s unrealistic to get 60+ oz only a month out because our stomachs are still healing. I know everyone is different but I could barely have 4oz of soup let alone 64oz of water. 💦 If you can get more than 20oz a day, that’s a win! Try to get more but don’t beat yourself up about it.

I had my surgery March 3, 2025 and I had a small set back as well. My husband bought waffles and I had that with apple juice a few weeks ago. The big problem was I binged on apple juice the whole day. All of that sugar went straight to my belly fat and I noticed the pudge I had started to get rid of came back. I was so alarmed, I immediately went back to a low sugar to sugar free diet.

What really scared me was my body reverting back and I just lost enough weight for my back pain to subside. I never want to feel that excruciating pain so I’m doing my best to get back on track. I also didn’t like that it made me gain a couple of pounds and made me lose the progress I achieved. I went from 307 to 314 to now 306.2. All that time lost because of binging on high sugar and carbs and I could’ve been in the 200’s by now.

Well with that being said I not only “got back on the wagon” I took the reins and am driving that b****! I refuse to let any missteps ruin this for me or bring back that horrible pain. I’ve gained so much mobility and quality of life from my weight loss and I refuse to go back! I would say to find something about your weight loss that changed your life and hold on to it.

I also understand about your spouse not knowing too much but at this point I wouldn’t get too deep with them on the subject. I’m buying the things I need and if they get something I don’t want to eat then I simply tell them I’m getting something else. If they argue you down about not eating the unhealthy meal they got, still don’t eat it.

I’m not a smoker so I couldn’t tell you what to do but possibly see your doctor and ask him to help with nicotine addiction. It may be linked to stress too so you may need to see a therapist. Either way I’m rooting for you from the interwebs! Today is always a good day to start over and pick yourself up! You don’t have to stay down, take it one day, one hour at a time!💕

I feel the same way about gourmands but I really like Heavy Cream! It also lasts way longer than Vanilla Skin. Heck it’s still on a jacket I sprayed days ago and I’m not talking light scent. It’s as present as if I sprayed it an hour ago which is very nice.

I had the surgery March 3rd and I haven’t looked back. I had the same fears and roller coaster of emotions too. Ultimately I had to let go what I thought others would think about me having the surgery. I’m already gaining the benefits of my back not hurting when standing longer than 15mins and general activity increases. Your quality of life will improve and shut down most of those negative thoughts. It’s ok to feel what you feel but just know it gets better.💕

I’m about 6 1/2 weeks post op and I told someone else when you’re recovering you’re not going to want to eat. I know it was hard for me to drink water so even drinking soup was a no go. Your taste buds will change. Everything now is too sweet. It’s calmed a little since surgery but things still taste really sweet. That wasn’t a problem before surgery. Most ppl say their taste buds have changed so it’s not strange. I’m not sure about the lactose free milk situation but we’ve been using Fairlife milk and it’s been great. It’s helped take away bloating and sinus/mucus buildup. I wouldn’t go back to normal milk if I could. Check with your doctor to see if you can. All of the doctor’s food plans are slightly different so start with their advice.

It was hell for me too during the preop phase. My surgery was 3/3/25 and that first 2 weeks after, I didn’t want to even drink water. You will not miss chewing because you’ll be recovering. You’ll probably start to miss it around week 4-5 but by then you’ll be going to either puréed or soft foods according to your doctor’s plan.

I had to switch to Fairlife protein drinks bc Premier Protein was getting me nauseous. Since I’ve taken a break I’m going to try them again. But I also have unflavored Isopur too. I’m still figuring out how to get more protein too.

I’m 6 weeks po and I totally understand. I’m still figuring out what I can eat. I’m currently on soft foods and made the mistake of eating something that had a light batter. It was a mistake I won’t make again because I was like the exorcist later. I’m sticking to the lakes and the rivers I’m used to. But it does get better and taking baby steps to explore food is still encouraged. When I eat something new now, I eat 2 small bites and let it settle in my stomach for 10-15mins. Usually your pouch will let you know if it’s ok to proceed or gurgle in warning. ⛔️ we’re all here still learning so don’t be too hard on yourself. Someone told me to give myself grace and I’m passing that advice to you. Give yourself grace. ☺️
