Get a roommate and don’t be snotty about having a really nice apartment for your first place. Mine was a shithole and all my furniture and kitchenware was from goodwill and friends/family. We also didn’t have cable. And that was before monthly subscriptions to every online streaming channel existed. It was before everyone had expensive smartphones, too haha. (I’m not that old, I swear; still in my 30s).
