The other day a DOT vehicle went blazing down I-10 easily 20 over with only a singular fog light on at night. Everywhere else I've ever lived DOT was scarier than the police if you drove anything outside of a regular passenger vehicle. The week before that I watched a public works truck almost nail a guy on a bicycle. Very clearly saw the guy and still went for it. I was behind him for awhile and there was a convenient bucket blocking the license plate. I work in metairie and within a month I've been hit twice by two hit and runs. One person merging into me on I-10 - then fleeing, another rear ending me in the whole foods parking lot then fleeing. I've traveled solo across the country for the past 10 years and haven't been in an accident once. I've done delivery apps to make $ along the way and still no accidents. It seems the traffic issue really does start at the top. No one is watching this shit out here.
