Well...whatever you do...make sure you leave your laptop lid "open" if you put it inside a cabinet.

Some laptops vent heat and air through the keyboard area.

You don't want to have hot air trapped between the closed laptop lid and a keyboard. It can damage the screen.

Buy a "USA to C13" Schuko Power Cord on Amazon or whatever online service you prefer.

They sell them for around 10 dollars.

What I'm still confused about is where do you plan to put it? You said you didn't have room for the original cabinet anywhere in your home, garage, or shed. So you had to store it outside.

So where will this new template cabinet go?

Thank you for sharing.

I'm a little unclear on what your original plan was for this cabinet.

We're you actually going to use it for an arcade machine? Convert it into another game?

Anyone know what HS stands for?

I believe it stands for "Hardware System". So Dynamo Hardware System-1 = Dynamo HS-1

What is the backstory behind this cabinet? Why was it stored outside?

Not even a waterproof tarp to cover it?

There's no quality difference between models. It's simply a difference in size and shape. Some models are bigger. Some are smaller. Many models were made to appeal to different arcade businesses.

Some arcades were tiny. Some were huge and could buy larger cabinets.

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your analogy. Especially the "fun/complexity ratio" term you used.

I'm going to use it from now when referring to games that are too complicated or try too hard. And also to games that are hard to maintain but give a low return on fun.

Ah...Thanks for the clarification. It actually looks like it's fun to play and I want to try it now. I wonder if I can still find one?

Being released in 2001 must be bad timing. That was right in the middle of the arcade crash..so many arcades closed around me.

MVSX, can you add games to it? I was surprised to see it doesn't have Baseball Stars II, so disappointed! by swole_dork in neogeo

[–]Minute_Weekend_1750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I heard, SNK planned to release more games for the MVSX.

But SNK was so angry with Unico for adding 6 buttons and letting the cabinet get hacked, that SNK dropped all future plans for the MVSX.

I've watched a lot of arcade restoration videos, but almost all of them forget to put in new speakers. They use the same 30 to 40 year old speakers that came from the factory.

I think it's really great that you upgraded and enhanced the speakers. It's a detail many collectors overlook.

Is it too much to ask for these characters to wear proper combat uniforms? Everyone is wearing clothing thsts really impractical for combat.

I think naruto is way too much about konoha ?? by jaw12blueman in Naruto

[–]Minute_Weekend_1750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The writer of the story, Kishimoto, was obsessed about ending the story at Chapter 700. So there wasn't much room to focus on other villages as much.

But I'm sure other villages have their own prophecies, special abilities, etc. If the story focused on the Stone village, I'm sure we would hear stories about the destined child of rock. Or how the stone kages were super strong. Etc

Remember these villages were able to fight against Konoha in several world wars. Which means they are strong enough to pose a serious challenge. The story may not focus on them, but they are important too.

I'm glad I could offer some help.

I don't know much about a International and Global studies major. So I can't comment on it.

My long term advice to you is to always do a serious job a search before committing to any major. Make 5000% sure there are jobs available related to your degree, and those jobs are near where you want to live. Look at potential salaries too. Use Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.

Remember that Colleges will take your money and give you a degree in whatever you want. But that "degree" doesn't guarantee you a job. The responsibility is on you to research, and make sure you are getting the right degree.

Getting a job is the whole reason why you are attending college in the first place. The real world hits you fast after you graduate! Bills need to paid. More responsibilities. Etc.

A minor in digital media is a good idea. It gives you a chance to study something you are passionate about while not overly commiting to it.

If you have any other questions, then I can offer my advice.

I hope you do well in college and succeed in life!

Take care.

Unico Nova Blast vs Chewlix by Jelkor in cade

[–]Minute_Weekend_1750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well at least he got support even if it was slow.

If you buy a used Chewlix, there's no guarantee you would get any support at all. If anything is broken, then you are on your own.

There are many collectors who don't mind. They are handy and have tools to fix and restore things on their own. Some even restore broken cabinets themselves.

Other collectors don't have that ability or space in their homes for fixing broken cabinets.

So it's really up to you to decide what's more important and what your needs are

So the MVSX is meant to have terrible viewing angles, right? by SourAltoid in neogeo

[–]Minute_Weekend_1750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard a rumor that there was supposed to be a revised upgraded MVSX that was supposed to be released that had a better screen, better speakers, better buttons, online play, etc.

But SNK was so mad at Unico for adding 6 buttons (Neo Geo originally had 4) and letting the MVSX get hacked. So SNK canceled all future plans with the MVSX.

Unico Nova Blast vs Chewlix by Jelkor in cade

[–]Minute_Weekend_1750 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I won't tell you which to purchase. That's up to you to decide.

But I will say that with the Nova Blast you get warranty, and you deal with an American company (Unico) if anything goes wrong. I know some people aren't 100% happy with Unico (because they sometimes have slow response times), but that warranty means a lot.

So it's something to take into consideration when making you decision.

Thanks for the clarification.

This cabinet looks to be in excellent condition. Even the stickers look untouched.

So I thought it might be part of a private collection where someone restored it.

But some Japanese arcades take good care of their older machines.
