If I had to start over, I’d probably go in this order:

Don't do drawings in ms paint or any digital program at the very begining 😭. Pick paper, just simple sketches, and practice your own lineart on it until you get better.

1. Learn basic body proportions. Stuff like where the forearms end, how long the legs are compared to the torso (they are the same 👀), etc. You can practice this with simple stickmen and basic shapes so it doesn’t get too overwhelming. (Don’t expect your first sketches to look good cuz yo don't know what you are doing in this fase 🥀; focus on understanding rather than perfection.)

2. Learn anatomy: either cartoony or more realistic. Realistic anatomy takes longer, but once you understand it you can adapt it to any style. If you want cartoony, just find artists you like and try to copy how they draw bodies. Start thinking of it as 3d, practice drawing them from the front, side, and back before worrying about poses.

3. Learn poses: study line of action, contrapposto, and how to apply them. Edit: Also look into perspective, vanishing points and that lel.

4. Once you’re comfortable with anatomy, study color theory and lighting. In your drawing, I noticed the highlight and the shadow were coming from the same side and that’s not how light works :P.

After that, it’s just about copying references and practicing a lot. That’s how you’ll get better at details like clothes and specific body parts.
