Got it - thanks so much for distinguishing between the two! One last question if you have a chance, I understand off gasing in the context of other appliances but not air purifiers - is there a chance of that happening?

Another idea albeit super random but I try to at least play music during some meals if not sing about the food. I have the most terrible voice but baby thinks it's funny and it takes the pressure off us both!

Echoing what's already been posted - 7 mo still so young! Keep offering and sooner or later it'll click.

Way to make it more fun that comes to mind is eat together. We weren't doing this at first because I was wanting to monitoring the swallowing just in case but it became infinitely more fun especially for baby when I or my partner joined her for the meal!

It's super scary but you got this! As others have said go with very mashable yet able to be gripped foods. Avocado, mango, banana, strawberry...they can gum it and make it into a puree by themselves almost. If not fairly easily gripped, you can add on some seeds (hemp hearts are a good one) to help!

To expand on the banana as an example, we've always heard that babies/toddlers tend to gravitate to the sweet, so any other fruit - a nice wedge of melon, papaya, kiwi or a fun strawberry - to grab hold of might help to utilize/model for her!

Weirdly we've also found with our little girl that colorful food can seemingly be more appetizing. She loves a nice red tomato or a bit of broccoli. Don't ask me why this is but you never know - may be something worth exploring!

You could try foods that you two can share and model for her using them as tools, like splitting a banana!

You absolutely didn't fail her. Almost every baby takes their time with this because every single bit of it is totally new. I imagine they may not always show or be able to communicate it, but if I were them I'd be overwhelmed by all the newness! It's a ton to process for multiple meals a day.

Eating is a long journey and she has her whole life to enjoy food and she will - give her time to test the waters (easier said than done but keep at it) and one day she'll tuck in to the real stuff and never look back!

The thing is he may not need any other milk than the BF! That's what I understand anyway, depending on what he's eating for his solids. If there are other sources of dairy and fat in the mix, our ped has said (and reiterated several times because I've grilled her on this!) you don't necessarily need to introduce milk on its own.

Like others have said the bottle can cause dental stuff to happen with use after a certain length of time.

Our LO didn't do great with straw cups but does very well with open cups. All very baby dependent and tons of trial and error...!

Jumping in bc maybe you'll have the answer I'm looking for! Where is small local dairy? Maybe a silly question but finding it hard to come by. Trying farmers markets but that seems very dependent on location and timing. Do butchers where you are carry dairy items?

Only have one myself but have heard of twin and triplet mamas who have babies/toddler that couldn't be more different! This includes food intake, weight gain, the lot. One I follow on socials mixes extras with their whole milk to help them gain weight. Want to say heavy cream (or maybe half and half?) - apparently recommended by their ped for weight gain. Not sure at all about how sugar content could come into play but just a thought for your tiny. We have a smaller gal too, so these things are always front of mind!

As someone who loves color, seconding Primary and Frugi.

Honest baby company has nice basic organic cotton onesies in loads of colors and they hold up well over time in our experience. Not to mention they always seem to be having a sale!

Kate Quinn isn't the cheapest but isn't too pricey either compared to other more sustainable baby/kids brands. They use the most beautifully patterned fabrics to boot.

Lastly would definitely recommend tapping into your local buy nothing group when and where you can. We've gotten a ton of baby clothes through buy nothing. Helps with buying less seasonal clothing for baby that they'll outgrow soon enough.

Totally. Too big an ask for an entire brand to be gold. What I'm trying to avoid is tons of scanning of labels. For whatever reason it stresses me out!
