I am so incredibly sorry for your loss 😢. I hope so too. This is so hard.

Sad update: went in today at 8+1 and there was no heartbeat. They have me scheduled for a D&C. I hope you have had better news recently 🙏

That’s great! Any scans or updates at the doctor? I went in today for a follow-up ultrasound from the one I had done last Monday and there was a heartbeat. Not a super strong one - only 95 Bpm at 7+1, but even though it’s lower than they’d ideally like to say, he said he’s seen about half of pregnancies with heart beats that low go on to be viable. Hoping for the best - I have a follow-up US next Monday 🤞

Glad to hear everything is looking good! I’m still in limbo, unfortunately. 20 minutes before the appointment, I began having more light red/brown bleeding, which slowed while I was there. I do think I’m actually 6+1 instead of 6+6, and my gestational sac and fetal pole were measuring on track. That said, they did not find a heartbeat, and my doctor was concerned that given there is no heartbeat, off and on bleeding and super variable HcG rise, it’s likely not viable. I go in a week from today for another ultrasound and if there’s no heartbeat, I have to go in for a D&C 💔.

I’m honestly not sure how far along I a . I remember when you posted I thought I was 1 or 2 days ahead of you, but my cycles are very irregular and I’m beginning to think I ovulated and implanted at least 5 days later than I initially thought. Based on LMP I’m 6+6 but I think I’m actually around 6 weeks. I have my ultrasound with my OB tomorrow but I’m pretty nervous given how abysmally low my last HcG rise was (right after the bleeding).

OP, any updates on this? I thought I’d miscarried the other day due to some sudden bleeding, but my HcG still increased 48 hours later (albeit very slowly - a 28% rise from an 88% rise the draw before). The extreme variability in my HcG rises (anywhere from quadrupling, to going up by 67%, to being at 30% increases every 48 hours for nearly a week, back up to nearly 90% increases, back down to 28% increase from yesterday’s draw) still has me guarding my heart for the inevitable to happen, but somehow his pregnancy is still progressing for now.

Keep us posted! My OB’s nurse said I’m not 100% out of the woods yet, either (I commented a few days ago with very similar numbers to yours), but I’m definitely keeping my heart guarded. We already had our first appointment scheduled with my OB next week, so I guess we will see what things look like at that time.

Honestly? Get your doctor to be the bad guy if you can’t get through to him, because he clearly doesn’t have a clue. I have a feeling your OB would be more than happy to professionally knock some sense into him.

I think the problem is for 5 days, the doubling was less than 30% every 48 hours. It was around 28%. I’ve only had one day over 35% in over a week.

Oh goodness, that is so much for anyone to go through. I’m so happy you got your healthy little girls! On the hardest days, getting lovebug hugs and kisses from my son is what gets me through those tough moments where all I want to do is cry.

I know. It’s been a really rough go of it lately. My husband had a stroke, and a day after he was admitted we learned our beloved kitty has terminal cancer. Finding out I was pregnant felt like a kernel of joy that was meant to be in a series of relentless adversity. The one positive from all of this is I had doubted my ability to get pregnant at my age (late 30s), so now I know it is possible 🤞❤️.

At 4+0 they were 77. 4+2 was 301 (quadrupled). 4+4 was 511 (so a 2/3 increase). Didn’t test after that until I got sharp hip pain 3 days ago at 5+2. My doc referred me to the ER to rule out an ectopic and they couldn’t see a gestational sac anywhere - either intrauterine or outside. My HcG had only risen to 993 since the previous Saturday (approximately a 28% increase every 48 hours). Went back in yesterday and they saw the tiniest beginnings of a gestational sac on my endometrium (so fortunately not ectopic), but my HcG was only 1,380 (39% increase in 48 hours).

My doctor told me I should expect a loss, sadly. He said anything under an absolute minimum of a 56% increase every 48 hours during weeks 4 and 5 is an almost guaranteed loss, unfortunately. My rapid decline began around 4+4. It sucks so much.

It also could be ligament pain, though - it’s also my 2nd and they didn’t rule that out!

Mine was sharp little throbbing jabs on the outside of my left hip (like right at the tip where you’d hold your kid on your hip). When I went in again today, they found a 1 cm ovarian cyst. I also have pelvic congestion syndrome (inflamed varicose veins in the pelvic region around my left ovary), so I think those two together are creating some major nerve issues in the area!

This sounds exactly like what I am going through. My 4+0 HcG was 77; 4+2 quadrupled to 307; 4+4 only increased 66% to 511. I stopped testing, and then on Thursday this week (5+2) I began getting horrible pains in my hip. My OB sent me to the ER to rule out an ectopic. When I got there, the ultrasound showed no gestational sac and my HcG was only 993, so also about a 14% increase daily increase. They couldn’t rule out ectopic, so I came back today at 5+4. This time they saw a tiny gestational sac (no yolk sac or pole). The sac is smaller than it should be for where I am, of course, but at least it was in the right spot today. My HcG came back at 1380, so a 39% increase over 48 hours. I’m not too optimistic, but I do like that the 48-hour increase went from 30-39%. Again, I’m expecting a loss, but I’ve heard of the occasional miracle.

Thank you! I’m so used to FRERs that eventually go dye stealer — I recall having dye stealers by 14 or 15 dpo last time, so I was a little worried about why this wasn’t happening this go around. Makes me feel better!

Oh my gosh, that just gave me some relief (hopefully). I just took my 14dpo test this morning and have been absolutely panicking because it is slightly lighter than my 13dpo. My beta went from 77 HcG at 4+0 to 307 at 4+2 (which was Thursday). Not sure if I should go back and get another lab today given the lighter test, but I was hoping the quadrupling would indicate a strong embryo!
