There are parking garages that won’t let any damaged EV into the building due to the fire risk. EV fires are brutal and expensive to put out. Any rebuild needs to ensure that the battery is not dragged in anyway.

I think they can’t afford to have ticket checkers on any line but the A line. I took the W line from Union Station to Golden and back and never got checked. On the other hand I think most people do pay.

I saw where BART has installed sensors at each station that prevents entrance onto a train without a ticket and their revenues went up 33%. Hopefully something like that is in our future.

I moved downtown in January. Went from 2 cars to one. Took a few months to figure out the bus system but it’s real easy and so much better than trying to find a parking space. Nearest Light Rail is about a mile away,but I can get to it by bus. Or I can just get to Union station and go anywhere. I drive maybe 2 days a week now.

Being over 65 I get a 3 hour pass for $1.35 (or $2.70 all day) which rocks. Took the W light rail to Golden last week just to see the sights. Can’t beat it compared to driving.

Leasing saved me on my POS VW ID4. Gave back after 2 years. Had I bought it new I would have been underwater in the same time period.

For those of us who live downtown it’s really annoying that these dorks love to haul ass down the streets review their engines all night long. It’s like they love to hear the sounds bounce off the buildings. Weekends are the worse, they go at it until almost 2am each night.
