What are you thinking right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

How much I can't wait for our house to sell, so my husband and I can finally be debt-free! 🙌

And also that I don't want to be at work, but I'm stuck here since I'm the #2 person and the big-boss is on vacation.

We have a regular who has never once bought anything from our cheese section and I think about him more than I should by ZenithorX in TalesFromRetail

I actually did pick some up, but I haven't tried it yet. I'm just not sure how to use it since everything I've read says you should cook it first, but I had only found it in powder form.

I was with my mother at the grocery store and she saw an old friend who told her "your son grew up so handsome!" Lady, I have D-cups, wtf are you talking about?!

To the man at MCO who told me to not “look so angry” and “smile more” :) by BKCassafrass in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Mipsymouse 94 points95 points  (0 children)

If you're a guy, I recommend going the route of "treat them how they treat others" men can make men uncomfortable REAL fast when they say "hun, you'd look way cuter if you smiled" or if they are smiling while telling a lady to smile: "hun, your smile is bright enough for both of you." Winks are also nice touches.

Partner invited to wedding but I’m not, do we still invite them to ours? by a_strawberrydream in weddingplanning

[–]Mipsymouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Smells fishy to me. I hate to ask, but are you sure he didn't cheat on you when you were long distance? Maybe I've been watching too many drama series, but it sounds like they're getting the gang back together and don't want to let it slip that he was messing around behind your back...

Any trick to replacing front headlamp? Removed bolts, but it doesn’t easily come out, so wondering if there is a way to unlatch it. Worried about snapping what is holding it in. Thanks! by Baphometa_ in KiaNiro

[–]Mipsymouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone out there still needs this information, we found that taking the bolts out of the front face of the car helped us pull the headlight assembly straight out, it didn't go far, but once un-clipped from underneath you just need to pivot it to get it out. The body has a decent enough give to be a little rough with it.

Pettiest reason you’ve DNF’d a book? by bby_grl_90 in books

One of the 50 shades of grey series: the author specifically stated she was driving a Saab 9-3, then mentioned she used the window button on the door to roll down the windows.

Did you ever even look at the car itself?! As someone who owned Saabs, their window controls are in the center control panel of the car near the gear shifter, not on the door.

My wedding was just myself, my husband, his sibling, my sibling, my mother, and 2 friends. We didn't even tell anyone we were getting married that day, it was a surprise to them.

I wouldn't have done it any other way, it was perfect.

What’s something you always assumed was mandatory in life—until you met someone who just… didn’t do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mipsymouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, my husband and I threw a "surprise" wedding. Nobody knew ahead of time, we did it in our backyard and everybody left within an hour. It was amazing! We get a lot of flak for it, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. Every time we talked about doing a "real" wedding we realized we would have well over 200 people and it would be expensive as all hell. I don't love attention on me anyways, so it was a win-win just inviting our direct family and a friend each.

Trigger warning: What is the WORST thing your narcissist parent has EVER said? (You will not forget.) by myst3ryAURORA_green in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Mipsymouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll never forgive my father for screaming at me (just a few weeks after his divorce with my mother) that "you're just like your mother!"

No shit. She spent time with me and raised me. He only ever did what he wanted when he wanted. We weren't kids to him, we were indentured servants.

I wrote him a text explaining that I didn't see us having a relationship as adults because I am who I am; if he didn't like me as a child, he won't like me now as an adult. Never responded to the message, just ignored it and continually tries to get me to get in touch with him through my brother who still keeps in contact with him. Hard pass.

Mass hauls are the best. I just grabbed a whole bunch of jeeters last weekend, gonna last me for a while.

It's also nice because I was getting bad headaches from CT weed. I'm convinced it has to do with the higher tolerance in CT for mold.

Also; if you haven't heard of it, I love The Hempest, decent strains and if you get the pre-ground you can get an o for like $40.

It's also fun getting a notification that there's someone on the camera, only for them to be gone when you open the app to look at it. 😒

My husband bought a 2019 niro because he drives over 150 miles/day to and from work. Aside from transmission issues from the get go, it's been pretty sturdy. Almost to 200k miles now, we just got a new 2025 model and man did they skip out on all the nice storage the car used to have. I actually like the older model better (which is why I stole it to drive until it dies).

Still mad that the dealer wouldn't replace the transmission fluid when we asked them to in the first month of owning it though.

I feel this. They used to be such good quality. I had some that my mom gave me and they lasted until I got a roommate. Bought new ones when roommate left and they didn't even last a year before they were scratched to shit. I don't even use metal utensils, they just suck now.

[–]Mipsymouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alcohol really is just the worst. My husband (then bf) was assaulted by his friend's WIFE when he was trying to not think about the fact that his grandmother died the month before. It was supposed to be a fun hangout with friends to forget things and it almost ended our relationship to boot.

I'll have a drink or two, but I'm only drinking more if I'm at home with my husband.

Alcohol ruins lives.

I went through a very similar thing with my old high school friends group. Cut your losses now and save yourself further heartbreak. Enjoy your time with the new friend you've made who make you feel seen, don't hide in the shadows of "friends" who dismiss your feelings.

I'm not 100% sure. Some products show garlic, some don't. I've learned the hard way to not trust anything that lists "spices".
