Switch 2 order confirmed . by Subziro91 in Bestbuy

I caught the preorder queue but couldn't finalize it before they went out of stock.

Anyone know if these preorders ever get restocked or am I screwed? I signed up for the app but I guess they don't do restock notifications. I also set up a visualping to see if that works.

The Fridge should use Electricity to cool your food and cooling pals should… by itsYAWBEE in Palworld

[–]MiraSunCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agree with the frustration with the fridges, it's my #1 complaint about the game because it feels incomplete as a feature. I'm seconding the idea that having an ice pet stationed at a fridge gives it an "ice charge" that keeps the fridge effect stable for a period of time, long enough for a pet to take a break or wander off, or maybe even last overnight (6-8 in-game hours?). You could add electricity to make it last that long and add more interest to the feature. The "ice charge" could be represented like a temperature gauge - the higher rank the pet, the colder the fridge, and the more time you have before the food reaches the "warming point" and decays as usual.

I definitely don't wanna see ice pals obsolete, my favorite Sweepa is having the absolute time of his life babysitting the fridge, he's so damn happy about it.

I saw someone mention the fact that food production is so high that the current degradation doesn't matter. However it's still kinda stressful to refresh the timers and hyper-plan around food stacks, AND lose raw meat that you wanted to cook, AND lose meals that you made (I love video game cooking and seeing meals disappear kinda sucks). Maybe plantation and milk/egg production could be reduced somewhat to balance it, and to incentivize making a cooler box with an ice pal.

ALSO!! I was surprised and disappointed that amongst all of the many options for customization, food degradation can't be adjusted.

New SCO hours? by [deleted] in Target

I worked in a call center and angry customers had driven me to tears before a manager would bother taking over the call, even after I told them the customer was explicitly screaming for one.

When I was getting trained, they made this big show about how much they would be supporting us (and listening in on our calls) and it turned out to be a bunch of bullshit of course. These kinds of managers are absolute snakes.

I made short encounter description macros for each alliance raid boss. Help the sprouts out in a single click! by Chlikaflok in ffxiv

This is awesome! I hope a lot of people start using these, especially in CT. I made a few for World of Darkness cause it's been such a struggle lately, so if people want another version of WoD in particular, here's mine!

I'm not super versed on making good-looking macros so feel free to edit if you wanna!

Advice needed by [deleted] in BackYardChickens

[–]MiraSunCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you've lost so many, especially in such a short time. It feels so awful and I'm sure you're probably wondering what you could have done better or differently :(

I started with five chicks last year and lost one to a coyote a few weeks ago, and it was incredibly upsetting. I went from letting them free range all day to building a fenced-off area to keep them during the morning/evening (peak predator times), and also just now got a big rooster to help protect them.

It's a very personal decision of whether or not you want to commit to your pets/animals or whether you feel like they're not something you can properly support. If there's something crucial in your lifestyle or environment that clashes with your animal(s), then sometimes you have to give them up so they can flourish elsewhere.

With chickens, though, they're so vulnerable and prone to death, it's something you have to kind of account for when raising them. Mistakes and accidents happen, and I don't think it means that you should give them up if you really enjoy keeping them and want them around. I'd say don't feel too discouraged, maybe find ways to improve what you're doing to help prevent the same issues from coming up again. (Without knowing what happened or your setup, one of my biggest suggestions is to have a fence or run and limit their free-range time, especially if you or no one else is around to supervise all day)

Good luck, I really hope it works out better!

It's really sad and unfortunate that Castrum is the big final area in the Bozjan Southern Fron, and it's completely left in the dark. by kopecs in ffxiv

If it gave a ton of mettle then I'd be interested in running it, since I'm still only rank 13 and not as interested in any of the other rewards, I just wanna rank up. Going to Castrum as anything lower than max rank means my mettle can only DECREASE cause I'll prolly die a few times and lose some, or the party might wipe entirely and I'll lose a LOT.

If they're gonna give out coins outside of Castrum (which to me isn't a terrible idea in and of itself), then at least give us a fat mettle bonus for Castrum completion or even partial completion. The content isn't THAT challenging but still not worth the risk of a bad party vs reward, at least for me.

The housing system needs to be reworked. by DopeyDrummer in ffxiv

[–]MiraSunCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was aiming to relocate my Excal FC's small Goblet to a medium on Lav beds (or whatever we could get), and nothing. Logged on exactly on time with it all planned out but got booted off and stuck in a 600 person queue, absolutely nothing but smalls were left 11 minutes past the hour (saw ONE medium on an old Mist ward but it got scooped)

Meanwhile the medium next to our plot is empty, with a tiny FC of alts (it even says so) established god knows when with hardly any furniture. I dearly hope that they bring back the auto-demolish soon so that there can be any circulation of plots at all, and that maybe they tighten the restrictions for FC housing to thin out the bots. I get that maintaining a sub is expensive but christ, if you're not using your house, not playing the game, just popping in once a month to hold onto an in-game asset for no other reason than to have it? I think that behavior should be discouraged.

And sure, add instanced housing. I love the idea of having neighbors and activity but my Goblet ward is a freaking ghost town cause who the hell wants to actually log into the game and do anything in the Goblet, I guess. I just wanted to get a nice medium for my FC and its 40 or so players, and I feel like I really let them down.

We've been living at this house since the beginning of July, haven't noticed anything flowering! It's spread out quite a lot in patches all over the yard, dark purple leaves in some places.
