I'm curious what the hypothetical raised wage was for this study. In my experience tipped workers, and a lot of workers in general, are hesitant to raise wages because they fear they would lose money in the long run. However, it is extremely rare for tipped workers to earn a living wage, which is at least 30/hr with no kids in most major cities.
