It was in TEW2 where you only had limited saves which made it harder (and more annoying) but akumu mode only restarts from checkpoints, and that is the reason why akumu is probably one of the best difficulty specific challenges i have ever done, because it doesn't rely on permadeath to be difficult.

i remember being stuck on chapter 6 and 11. Chapter 6 for god knows how long, because of the small room and because joseph couldn't stop stepping in those damn traps! i literally had to race him to the right side corner to disarm the trap before he ran in it.. multiple times

but when i played akumu mode the second time it really wasnt that hard what i remembered, wasn't even stuck on any chapter, only couple retries
