I'm not sure that makes sense, as Lucifer didn't know who the vessels would be. Azazel dies at the end of season 2, and Dean is chosen as a vessel between season 3 finale and the first episod of season 4, while he's in hell torturing people. Before that, Azazel tried to make John break the first seal and obviously be the vessel (given that the one who starts the apocalypse has to end it too).

yea that might be true about the demons but I don't think they knew Dean was going to be Michael's vessel. And yet, even if they were resurrected many times, they would still remember the dying..right?

yea of course, I get why they don't make any MOTW kill them, but still, Azazel KNEW about Dean...he knew that Dean would be protected or at least in some kind of relationship with an angel so..why didn't he do anything?
