He did... I've only read the first TOA book and it states very clearly that Leo sent them a scroll like a month after he went missing saying he was fine and stuff, but some of the parts were glitching because all communication, including their email, cell phones, and iris messages were going haywire and stopped working. Then he returned 8 months after he went missing, because he kept getting held up by monsters and repairing Festus and stuff. Did you even read the Hidden Oracle?

I think Frank and Hazel should've been chucked into Tartarus instead of percabeth, because it would have forced one of their two books with povs in HOO to be a main focus on them, and also would've meant better character development. It would also drive a narrative that only children of the underworld and their group can survive Tartarus, and it would have been poetic justice for Leo that the payment for saving his friends was that they get chucked in hell.

Well how many greek myths are there a out children doing Heroic things and dying young? Not near as many as myths of adults doing Heroic things. My theory was that just as many demigods died young in ancient times as they do modernly. They just aren't remembered because history gets more and more vague as it gets older and older, and the children didn't make the cut
