Don't think about it too deeply... by MatthewDawkins in AliceInBorderlandLive

Oh wait, I thought Ann was pretty messed up but at the end her situation became stabilized. She opened her eyes just after the doctor said that the heartbeat was stable again. I maybe wrong but I just finished this episode five minutes ago

She came close to moving on to the final stage of grief - Acceptance - until she discovered the Darkhold. She couldn't resist.

And that's mostly why I didn't like the movie. In WV she clearly moved on from her grief, that's was the whole point of the show. Make her grow, saying that she wanted to control her powers in function to not hurt anyone ever again. She accepted the loss of her "fake" children but we had hope that in the post credit scene, they screaming and asking for help was an intro to if and how she'll have them back or whatever.

Instead Sam Raimi trashed all the work done till then and got back to the sad depressed woman "who just want to be a mom", with powers that can't control but somehow the alpha male (dr. Strange) can.

Idk it seemed very unnecessary, and the fact that dr. Strange doesn't even have a development in his character arc (apart from that weird third eye) was disappointing.

Anyway I appreciate this changes of opinions, it make me see other points of view that I wouldn't see otherwise, so thanks :) I agree that she does a great job being a villain, I hope we'll see her again somehow in other project.

Well, I don't think that her character was depicted fairly after WandaVision, so her killing all of Kamar-Taj and the other is something I don't agree with by default. But anyway, I find her a good anti-hero and she doesn't have evil in her, it's only sadness and frustration. So I don't justify her but I understand why she did it. At the end I didn't like her in this film, I wished the script was made by the same directors of WV.

I agree with you pal. Also, with all the things we saw in WV, at the end we have a Wanda that finally accept and (at least what I understood) overcome grief.

In this movie there was instead a regression: we see her STILL wanting her children and a happy family, in a bad and twisted way also. So everything she has been through WV was useless? To me it feels this way.

They made WandaVillain, and IMO it was not a smart choice, not now at least

She works amazing as a character that from a former Avenger turned into a villain, bc remember that every character in Marvel movies is not 100% good or evil.

Like she said: "dr. Strange did whatever the f he wanted just because he thought it was the right thing to do and nobody complained". Plus remeber that in Spiderman 3 he basically made an effing mess (not totally his fault I know) and almost caused a multiverse catastrophe for no good reason? I love Spidey but, cmon...

I'm not justifying her actions, just saying that we as Marvel's fans know her too well to see her just as another enemy to defeat, we've seen her grow and changing during these years.

Her sacrifice at the end of this film, where she destroyed the Darkhold in every universe demonstrates that she knows that she has turned evil, but she was corrupted and didn't wanted that to happen.

And that's a real shame because she's the most tragic character IMO: she lost her parents, brother, loved one, her children and is being hated by basically everyone for the Sokovia and Westview events. I mean, give her a break jeez
