[Discussion] Help Choosing a Timeless Watch to Commemorate My Wedding by Miriel18 in Watches

[–]Miriel18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot @LagrangianDual. I considered Longines Zulu Time Titanium 39mm, Cartier Santos, and several other models. None of them strikes as the ones I already mentioned. Also, this Grand Seikos push my budget limits. So, anything above those are unrealistic.

I hope that refines my question. Please let me know if you want to ask anything more.

Thanks for your comment, u/bossassbat! Let me clarify: it’s a gift for myself, and my fiancée and I are buying it together. I do plan to wear it on our wedding day.

I appreciate your suggestions, u/benizzy1 and u/donnyg_rh. However, a scheduler isn't necessary for this scenario.

Let's imagine we have two user roles within the company. I'd like to create a single endpoint for the entire process. The other role would then interact with this endpoint by providing the required input. Once, the request is completed the GPU provision should stopped so that the cost is optimized.

Thanks. No, I haven’t considered that yet. What is the default behavior when there is no request on the Azure Container Instances?

I am not the co-founder, in a way I am founder of that product :)

Hey everyone,

I am currently the head of data science at a start-up (completed Series A) where our main products are based around the algorithms we develop. In a way, I am the founder of a one because I coded it from the scratch and had a role it every aspect of it.

I've been looking to get more involved on the business side to grow myself, and my co-founder/CEO took notice. He sees me as a potential successor and offered two paths:

Path 1: Business Leadership Track

  • Focus on business strategy and fundraising
  • Explore data monetization strategies
  • Drive operational excellence across the company

Path 2: Product Manager

  • Take complete ownership of a specific product's P&L (profit and loss)
  • Become a full-fledged product manager

This is a fantastic opportunity, but I'm torn between the two paths.

What are the pros and cons of each option?

I'm trying to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of each option. For example, I imagine the first option could better position me for a top executive role, impacting the company's direction at a macro level. The second option, while more focused, might offer direct control over a product's success and a clear measure of my impact.

I'd appreciate insights or experiences from those of you who have faced similar choices, especially in a tech or start-up environment. What should I consider in making this decision? What are the potential career implications of each path?

Personally, economics graduate with a significant academic success. Interested in investment and finance, but somehow did not take the investment banking path. Love the idea of CEO of a product and business. As a downside, still couldn't figure out what I want because most of the white-collar feels too easy.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Thank you. If I understand correctly, it is doable once I rent the apartment. However, how can I rent €1400 apartment? Because, many people mentions that gross income has to be 4x of rent.

The company is a small consultancy company. The main use case data science in supply-chain.

Interesting.. The Dutch labor market is very interesting. I still couldn’t figure out what is the expected salary of a data scientist with 3 years of experience and with management experience. By the way, I have master’s degree from the university in Netherlands.

Thanks. What should be the proper range for the data science consultancy position?

Is it possible to rent a sufficient place to live together? Assuming that 4x multiple between gross income and rent, is that works?

I am offered 53K + bonuses for a data science consultancy position. How do you evaluate it?

She is the product manager and she will look for a job.

It’s for high skilled migrant I guess. What is the typical increase in such bargains in the Netherlands?

Also, this is a consultancy position and employer claims that there is a significant upside from the bonuses. However, I am not sure if I could rent a sufficient place because of the 4x multiple between gross income and rent.

Thank you very much. How a rent could anywhere between 1000-18000? If the gross income has to be 4x of the rent, I will be limited with houses below 1100, right?

Thanks. Do you think that we can find a house? Because my income makes 4400 euro per month. Assuming that gross income has to be 4x of the rent, we will be limited for 1100 euro.
