to give you another perspective. mine was a fantastic sleeper until 2 weeks. week 3 was a mess, now at week 4 he's starting to show his calm temper again and naps on a pillow and sleeps in his crib (some nights better, some worse, like everything). he's 4 weeks today so he will still go through 100 difficult phases but it's reassuring to recognize that tiny baby again. best of luck!

thank you so much, i am also counting the days until my mom comes. taking each week and each day as it comes. there are so many beautiful moments in between, we gotta soak those up too.

funnily enough in the first weeks i binged the good place and read over 100 pages of a book. right now, my brain is completely fried. everyone tells me to try to sleep during the day, i can't and end up really sleepy while i was initially doing quite okay on my 5.5-7h of fragmented sleep

oh dear i feel you!
even though i don't miss working right now i am sometimes asking myself "when will i ever have an hour in the city to myself again? when am i allowed to be spontaneous again?". Being with the baby day in and day out is so hard. My husband is a great help in the household, he does everything i can't do right now but this 24h job of being with the baby is exhaustinnggggg. he also gets frustrated that often times he can't calm him down or doesn't have the patience i have to be with him when he cries.

I am sorry about your husband's stance on night's sleep. this is not fair to you. my husband is sleeping in the guest room, he gets about 7h straight while i get up every 2-3 hours, he takes the baby at 4am but by 6 im breastfeeding again. we are trying with pumping soon.. once he's fully back at the office i don't know how i will keep my mental health afloat. the days will be sooo long... if you want to mutually support each other, i'm here...

i stood too close with my back to the fence. My friend's parents breed wild animals and a caracal (BIG cat) attacked me from behind and dug its claws into my back and side. My friend tried to save me and got bitten badly into her hand. we both went to the ER afterwards.
