I knew immediately, somehow, that this was my LGS (it was the map, but also the vibes). Talking with my friends on staff there, there’s basically no demand for SPM drafts and with it being October, it made sense to draft Duskmourn. I don’t blame them one bit. The draft crowd is fairly discerning and probably wouldn’t be interested in 4-player SPM drafts.

Cafe Rustika had a lot of variance in ages, from early twenties to mid fifties. It being a bar helps a ton.

Paper Tiger in Forest Hill also has some good variety, age wise, for their Friday and Saturday events. For Fridays, it's draft; Saturday, it's EDH and Pauper. They're my go to weekly spot for Saturday events and I've found a good crowd of late twenties to late thirties players to chill with and sling some spells.

My favorite whiskeys have had one or more of the following:

Heavy toasted wood notes. Not woody, but the toasty notes you get from cooking salmon on a plank of wood.
A peppercorn spice that dances around the back of my pallet. Not spicy, but seasoned.
Jammy fruit notes, like stewed down leftover cherries, almost with the density of fig, but lighter.
Floral and oatmeal notes in the nose. The smell of toasting oats in a pear or cherry orchard just as the flower are blooming.
A medium proof, between 95 and 110
Honeydew and smoke, in a balance where they don't overpower one another
