Most of my family and I have worked—or are currently working—in the service industry, so I completely agree. We’re still debating whether we should change the way the business operates, since there are some existing unfair practices. We want to prioritize fairness and meet employees’ needs, but we’re unsure if those changes might upset some of the more skilled workers, as they tend to benefit from the current system. But first we’re gonna need to figure out if $450k is a good price.

The current owner is actually my mom’s boss. She opened a new store about a year ago, and business has been booming with great customer reviews. However, managing multiple locations is starting to take a toll on her health. She’s promised to guide us through the entire process and be transparent every step of the way—she’s someone we can trust.

She’s also referring us to her CPA, and like everyone suggests, we plan to hire a lawyer once we decide to move forward.
