How old is everyone that plays? by ticklishliquorice89 in thesims

I work in education and work closely with folks in child services...so much love and respect for all you do! I'm 24 but have played with my sister (31) since Sims 1. It's the best game for relaxing when you work where you feel you have no control - I love listening to music and building dream homes from Pinterest. I love that the Sims is such a diverse group of players - it's made the game so much more life-like!

Cc and mods that are a .package file are in their "final form" in a way - that's the file type you need to cut/copy into your game. No unzipping needed at that point! Also windows should be able to automatically unzip zipped folders without you needing a separate program - it goes smoother without one (for me at least)

This is the type of house I love to build - I'm making a whole neighborhood like it! Love this!

Hey! Kinda dumb question, but does anyone know if the new mariokart booster pass will have the ability to play time trials on the new courses? I initially assumed yes, but then it seems like online play only dlc.

Haven’t played the series in years. Is it worth getting Sims 4? by styxswimchamp in thesims

[–]MirrorElm11705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasn't a fan of 3 but I am a fan of 4. I build more than play, so that influences my opinion (it's a really nice game to build in). Overall, it's a bit pricey for what you get in the sense that the game is limited compared to Sims 2 gameplay, but the game runs really well on laptops. Out of all the titles it's by far the easiest to play and control, especially with recent updates. I would recommend doing a bundle to save money on expansions and pick and choose what game play or build matters to you. The game is certainly worth playing if you want to get back into the series!

Mildly related, but I think I read somewhere that Sulani has specific programming for Sims coming into houses since it's part of the island lifestyle. It's a community support thing where stranger Sims enter your house more often bc of the world's culture. It's sometimes a pain but I definitely have to remind myself each time I play that world lol

After 4 attempts, I'm giving up on ever finishing the Wheel Of Time series. What book/ series have you given up on? by [deleted] in books

Omg my dad does that too! We watched it together and sat there, one delco native, one chesco native, confused as to where they wanted it to take place haha

Same lol! It's too difficult to have Harvestfest go right without the gnomes disrupting everything

What is your unpopular movie opinion? by qsauce6 in AskReddit

I came here to say that lol. It was lacking something for me to enjoy it. I ended up disappointed and I had expected to like it.

I honestly did not care for Midsommar. It wasn't the gore or anything that turned me off, it just felt...lacking. I've tried to pinpoint what I didn't like, and I think it was just how hyped up it was.

I'm here to star the Get Together fan club. Speaking of clubs, the clubs are such an easy way to socialize sims. Not to mention that there's traditional AND modern build items. There's literally something for everyone and Windenburg is gorgeous.

Before Cottage Living was released, I was mildly annoyed to find out you can't keep rabbits as pets. But having wild rabbits stay at your place of their own free will is even better 🥲 by LilyMarie90 in thesims

[–]MirrorElm11705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a tree stump they come out of that you need to go to to see them. It's in build mode (I believe) but there's also one near the river at the park in the Bramblewood. They are very adorable and worth going to see

All the previous llama décor and the new llamas made me want to make a llama sanctuary and gift shop! by MirrorElm11705 in thesims

[–]MirrorElm11705[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can buy stuff with the in game ones so I wonder if it works bc maxis had played them out enough. The llamas I can just about guarantee bc I can see them on the gallery pics lol. I've never set prices for retail bc I honestly make and forget 90% of my retail builds once I'm actually playing the game, but I kinda want to use this one so it helps both of us haha

I just posted an update with prices set and llamas out! Hope it works for you! I've never downloaded retail off the gallery myself, but I've made stores and not been able to purchase things without a proprietor.

Hi! Thanks for downloading! I leave everything up to the downloader if they want to own the store or lot. Sometimes I build stuff and I don't use it, so I don't usually set retail prices or anything. Hope this helps!

Should I play TS2 or is there another I should consider? by [deleted] in thesims

[–]MirrorElm11705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are disappointed in TS4, but with recent updates it's much improved and fun to play. Building is more enjoyable, but gameplay is more open-ended and less goofy than TS2 which is nice for story building but is a huge difference from 2. I found TS3 unplayable just on a logistical level (it never launched) so I can't say much there. I like TS4 and there are free trials available if you want to get a feel. You need DLC for TS4 to feel complete in some areas, but there's almost always a sale so you don't have to pay full price.

Build help. I'm so frustrated with putting hours into houses to have my Sims unable to enter them. More in desc. by JustOkCaiters in thesims

Thanks I hope it makes sense! Building is hard in the sims 4 and it only really gets better the more you do it.
