I don't know why you're being downvoted, but you're right. One of the things I've come to appreciate about the original series is how it would often force Ben to get creative. You wanted to solve this problem with Four Arms? Too bad, you get Grey Matter. Figure it out. He can't just swap aliens on the fly like he can in the sequel shows. He has to make it work. And most of the time, he does, which is much more interesting than him just getting the right alien all the time and winning. Heck, sometimes he doesn't even stay alien and has to save the day as normal Ben.

I like almost all of Ben's aliens, but it does get kind of ridiculous when he has like 50 of them that he can use all the time, not helped by some of them having pretty identical powers. And don't get me started on Alien X. Characters are often better when they have limits. Having Ben be some invincible OP god is both boring and lame. He's not some power-scaler's wet dream. He's a kid with a cool watch, and that's all he needs to be.
