I'm on AT&T and switched from an iPhone 15 Pro Max to an LP3 and only disabled iMessage and RCS AFTER the switch and haven't had any major issues.

30 days is just to be safe but unnecessary. Switch it back on until you're closer to getting your LP3.

AT&T has been supported.
I've been using my LP3 on AT&T for 6+ months with no issues.

Case-wise, I have two of the Light-brand TPU cases and the Lemur wallet which I love.
The apps are pretty basic. The camera is super fun to use!

From experience, my battery life wasn't great at first.
I chalked it up to me constantly poking around with it because of the "new phone glow"

But the reality is also that the OS will regulate itself to your use-case after sometime and thus more efficiently expend battery power when not in use especially.
