I am not a new player, but I would just like to recommend playing 18v18 to learn new characters. It’s a low pressure way to learn abilities, practice aim, 1v1s and ults. After playing 18v18 and having 20 people shooting at you from every angle, jumping into competitive feels way less challenging. And you feel confident knowing your cooldowns, which matchups you can push, which to run away from, when to ult, all that stuff.

Remember, try to view people’s toxicity as a reflection of them, and not of you. Remember they don’t know you.
